No offence but Good and bad? Bad? I wonder what would be bad compared to your home country 😂 globalisation is something good but on the other hand mixing nations and cultures is bad. People who come from corrupt, underdeveloped, third world countries will always take the advantages of these beautiful countries and use the gaps in the system, especially if you come from Nigeria which is considered as the most corrupt country in the world.

@@mioszkrawiecki9585 Seems all major European cities have pickpockets 😀
@ of course. Come to Brussels, I will show you around.
Thieves, fraudsters, i.e. criminals are generally everywhere. You were lucky in Wrocław. You need to control your luggage in public transport always and everywhere. If it was a legal real estate agency, then you should report an incident to the police. You will not recover money but the scammer will have trouble.
@@yakeosicki8965 thank you. Maybe you are right about Wrocław. But the bigger the population, the bigger the tendency for things like that to happen. I thought about taking the estate agency matter to the police and I spoke to people around me about the issue. I was advised to let it go because it could be a long drawn-out legal battle which could affect my work. One day, I will make another video in full details exposing them.
Welcome to my city! Sorry about what happened to you. I hope things only get better! Enjoy your time in our beautiful Warsaw - a Phoenix that rose from its ashes.

Most poles do not like Warsaw. Too big, Too noisy, Inconsistent architecture, Too many idiots , expacts and so on. No idea why so many flies fly to that shithole. Oh wait?
True, the few Poles I have spoken with told me the same. People come here for job opportunities. It’s the capital and it’s where most of the corporations are in Poland.
Warsaw is much bigger than other Polish cities in terms of area, population, business. Its number of inhabitants (ca 1.9 million officially, actually something like 2.5) that's about 3 times more than Wrocław's! (ca 700 thousand). No wonder distances are bigger, pace of peoples' movement faster, prices higher and that it's less safe (more people, more crime - typical in every country). Hard to understand why all this is so surprising to some people who move here from other Polish cities or towns.
@@benwars9524 You stated facts. But all these would still be a new experience for anyone moving there from a smaller city.

How to get tech job here without experience
No way
If you come to Poland with a victim mentality then you will always think yourself as a victim. If you consider people staring at you or not sitting next to you as racist then you are just projecting your own racism or insecurities. That is part of Polish society to stare at anyone. My white friends from the USA had the same criticisms. Some the people blaming this behavior as racism didn't do the minimal effort on understanding Poles in Poland. Some Americans, British and Ukranians who live in Poland also cry about the same things. The first thing they do is blame Polish people but, never look within. Generally Poles don't like those people either. I hope you understand by now Polish culture and how much we regard a certain level of respect. Not too many people outside of other eastern asian cultures get it. Westerners don't get it. Many Africans don't get it. That is fine. What isn't fine is that you don't bother to try to get it. I hope your stay in Poland is mostly positive. Glad you chose it.

Europe has had their share of Africans, Moors occupied us, Aficans dragged Europeans to their SLAVE Boats and took us to Africa to be sold to Arabs, as well as used by Africans. THERE they abused us snd starved us to death. I guess Poland and other European countries enjoyed their African madters than and still do now. None of you have learned anything. That fits right in with Ottoman Empire, Muslim slaughter of Europe.
Its fear of saying it. Those guys have gone through alot

@@annadaniels8193 Thank you 😊. I wish you an amazing 2025.
Just came across your channel. As a polish person, like most of us I have this weird love-hate relationship with this country 😂. But I lived abroad for one year in Australia and honestly the visa process there was very frustrating because you have to apply and submit everything online, and there is no human interaction, everything is robotic and that also causes issues. Years later I was going through the residency procedure with my husband (here in Poland) and yes, it was all bureaucratic, old school paperworks and dealing with grumpy people in the council, but they didn’t ask for as many documents as in Australia ( in Australia they demanded so many things from me, from bills, to letters from my partner’s family about my character 🤣, to medical examinations like blood tests to prove I don’t have HIV or chest X-ray which I thought was unreasonable because unlike MRI, X-ray is radiation and nobody should do it unless it’s medically required- not just for visa approval 🤯). The frustrating part for me, and my generation of millennials was getting educated (MA) and then not being able to find a job in your field. Maybe it’s changed now. I ended up not working in my field. It’s nice to hear from you about your experience here. You seem to have such a great positive attitude! Respect for learning the language! Sometimes I’m frustrated with people’s rudeness and lack of manners, but on the other hand I can’t imagine living anywhere else. 🤗 welcome and I hope Poland treats you well! Stay warm ❄️
Thank you for the lovely comment. Sorry to hear about your visa experience in Australia. I hear it’s beautiful over there. I can’t believe you had to go through all that for your husband to get a residency here in Poland. I hope the government will make the applications less tedious and seamless in the future. In terms or job opportunities, I think Poland is fast growing and a lot of opportunities are opening up. Probably not a lot of opportunities many years ago but a lot of major companies are now setting up offices in Poland. I am glad to hear you made a return back to Poland and I hope you are happy and you will enjoy living in your country 😊. Take care.
@@nowbiodun Oh, sorry if my comment was a little messy. I was comparing visa requirements in Poland and Australia. It was Australian immigration office demanding all these crazy documents including medical exams! I felt degraded and I thought it was a little bit too much. At that point I was already done with Australia and wanted to come to Poland, so I ended up not going through all the exams and receipts. They even denied my social evidence even though I collected the letters on my character. My husband had it relatively easy in Poland. He had to provide a lot of paper but it was just copies of his passport, and we did a short interview together (really basic question like what’s her/his favourite colour etc. 😂). He didn’t have to provide any medical records. He eventually had to write down why he wants to live in Poland. It was hilarious cause there was a space for an essay and he just wrote one sentence and it was good 👍🏻 😂. But some of the ladies working in the council were grumpy and they have sooo many coffee and gossip breaks, and they just treat everyone rudely when you’re trying to ask them questions. I’m like calm down, you’re not that important lady 😂. Also, in terms of costs, for the application, it was basically free (maybe 50 pln, whereas in Australia it’s 7000 dollars! So almost 20 000 pln for spousal visa). So my point was, even though the bureaucracy in Poland can be painful, in comparison to Australia in this case, it was still easy and cheap. That’s just my opinion.
@ I guess I misunderstood you. 20,000 pln for a visa is a lot 😲. It’s nice to hear you guys are now in Poland and everything went great. Warm regards 😊
@@nowbiodun yes, even though most Poles think I’m crazy for choosing Poland over Australia 😂.. you too, stay warm and take care! 🤗 Don’t stop smiling and spreading your light (who cares what people think and do/don’t do? Be you).

I think that most older Polish people are not used to having people of different races around, or even people from other countries. This makes some of them curious and some others fearful. Most of them will not be confrontational, but I also think that many will not express their negative thoughts to you, out of politeness. Among the younger people who have travelled, they tend to be more open and curious. It helps that most black people in Poland came to study and are generally well-educated.
