What is the purpose of the five thin flexible clear plastic strips that are included used for???

Like a bunch of other comments, metal clips is just too long. I have no idea how the video managed to do it. Comments arent saying they dont work on a 2021, 2023, or 2019? What year are these clips deisgned for???

I followed this video and the the front clips did not secure properly, was way too loose. I found another video, followed that and now it’s secure. Basically, the order is wrong, should be as follows: 1. Unclip the 2x original clips 2. Align mudflap 3. Push in the two x bottom clips into holes through the flap holes 4. Insert the two top clips til they click, and voila they are secure now.

Product fine, instructions are joke. Complete with typos and misspellings. But I was able to install in about 30 mins. Using a 10mm ratchet wretch is much easier to remove rear bolt under bumper than included tool. Also when you attach the clips push in on the mud flap to ensure the clip attaches to vehicle itself.

Do NOT cover the door water drainage holes (eg at 2:26). You need to go around them or cut holes in the seal to allow water to drain out from inside the door frame.

Parts missing. Poor fit. Instead of being snug up against the car the mud flap has a gap which will be a place for dirt to accumulate. Returning them.

READ THIS FIRST BEFORE YOUR INSTALLATION. For the rear flap, making sure to install the clip first prior to doing anything else since you will have to move the flap around to align with the plastic trim. Its extremely hard to do the metal clip afterward. The video doesn’t show you clearly but for the OEM clip, the screw would have a small indent that you can put a flat head in and just pull that out rather than taking the whole thing out.

To get the top clips in easily, start installing the mud guard slightly from the bottom, making sure the clip is already in, then slide it up in to place

False advertising with their latest mud flap sets. Mine came with screws that are impossible to screw into the pins. They are so cheap the philips head just eats them even if screwing by hand and the damn things still won't get in

Removing that rare screw and bolt to install rare mud flap is nearly impossible, I’ve researched and watched couple videos, I can find the bolt but there’s not enough space and angle for me to work on it. Eventually I gave up and simply cut that plastic part, the rest clips seem enough to hold and support it so it’s still looking nice, I will see if it last long enough. However, even when we can remove the screw, does that mean we just leave that bolt inside the vehicle? Will that cause sound or is it unsafe? I’d suggest you find a way not utilizing it as it’s causing trouble.

I just installed these on my 2023 M3P and like everyone says, the black metal clips are useless. Two screws were enclosed for the top of the front guards, but there is no hole for them to go into so I kept pushing on the screws gun until the screw went through the wheel well liner. My biggest concern is the top part of each guard/flap on the outside is not flush with the body of the car so all sorts of debris is going to get behind it and scratch the paint. I wonder if the Tesla brand flaps fit better?

I had another brand and lost one, got these and noticed it had the metal clips. This was a much better fit to what I had. Installed on a 23 Y. 🤘🏾

I am sick of this Chinese marketing only instructions. It took me an hour and half to install this completely. 1. You should make sure that top hook plastic part holds the wheel hood correctly first. Without it, clip won't hold the hood and the flap together. It's very easy to miss. 2. See it carefully where the clip needs to be put. There are two ducts (I don't know why) and the lower duct is for the clip. If you feel clip is too loosened to put, that means it does not bite the wheel hood correctly. 3. The screw is not meant to be screwed in. Simply push it in the plastic holder. Sometimes it's very hard to push, not like you can push with one finger in the video (that's almost a scam) I used my screwdriver handle to push in. It needs quite amount of force than you think. Thank you Basenor for making a good product and stupid shitty video instruction. You should make a better installtion instruction, if you don't want to make more Chinese brand haters.

I saw many sticked the foam on the car hood instead of around the car edge. I did around the car edge since I feel you are the source of truth but I wonder if install on the hood itself is OK?

The seal on this video is different from the one I ordered. No good instructions at all, no cutouts for drainage. 😢😢

Black rtv for the roof door seal I did use. It’s been 2 years some of it is peeling off how about yours ?

Brought to tears trying to get front clips installed after attaching the flap. Unsuccessful. Deeply regretting this purchase. Rear no problem. 2023 Y.

I just installed these on my Model 3 RWD. The rear flaps went on well, but I only used one of the supplied screws/pins to hold it on because the other pin in the car is not under the mudflap. For the bottom bolt, I just re-used the from the car and that seems to work fine. For the front two, I was able to use two of the replacement pins that came with the mudflaps but the clips are useless. There just isn't any metal on the car for them to clip into (maybe a MM or 2? So the mudflaps in front are just on with the bottom pins and the plastic clip/part on the upper side of the mudflap. We'll see how it goes. Also, in my experience, the screws don't actually screw in. You just push them in to cause the back on the pins to expand. I hope I can remove them in the future.

Don’t get discouraged after reading all these negative comments….😅

You make this installation look so easy. The front wheel clips just DON’T work. I even asked my neighbor, an old college football linebacker and he couldn’t get them in either. The front wheels could at least be moved so you could install the screws, but the back tires restricted the screwing because there’s just no room for even the smallest screw driver. Mine are going back, any recommendations.

Plz respond does it make a gap between the seat and back seat plastic protector when you remove it
