Do i ask the school consular or the board of education for an IEP meeting. I mean how can they get refferd to the meeting to get tested. They r in 1st(fail k) and second( fail 1st)I don't know what to do. I am crying right know. My 2 sons have ADHD and both are doing horribly in math. And one of them can't read. They put him in motoring n before the first semester ended he was in tier 3(still not improving). Help!!

They only care about the money sister first of all I had an IEP meeting so many times I have failedeverything in my school they put me in special education class and now I don't have any jobs no college was to except me even know I want to apply at the disability service center in the community college the motherfuckers projected to be seriously I have been staying calm now for seven years and not doing anything my social worker with not doing anything seriously and I blame all my problems at my special ed teachers I know they wanted to failed me in Society and now I've been crying every day because I have nothing I have a fucking fake diploma cannot do shit with it I have been on now for seven years and I'm not doing anything First of all I know how you feel I wasn't special-education so many times and I school for 10 years I had the same special ed teacher and let me just tell you he was a racist I filled everything and society because of this teacher filled me in society I can't find a job They love to lie about your child they did it to me so many times and my parents believed him this is what they do if it's a circus special ed if they soak his program and it's a Circus program they love lied about your kid they love lying about your own children

Those IEPs are bull and its a educational conspiracy thetoy. Always wait to sign the meeting and in your signature write Signed under duressed and with disagreement. The IDEA is fine but you need FAPE. If its the last day to sign you ask for video.accountability of your child.

Thank you, Kasi, for this video. We just had my son's first ARD/IEP meeting. They tried to bully us and make us feel bad. Our saving grace was that we brought other parents who have experience in this area. I had to call another meeting the day after we finished with the first one. Still waiting to hear back from the school. There are some major things that need to be added. Also, to other parents out there, make sure you pay attention to how the school "labels" your child. Meaning what diagnosis or area they place your child in. Like Kasi said this will affect your child in the future. We are having to place additional labels, since they seemed to miss the fact that my son has Down Syndrome (OHI)(Other Health Impairment).

My son has ADHD and has a hard time focusing and being still to learn. Is there any help or 101 help they can give after the teacher has given instructions? Do they do that or should I ask for something else more efficient

What to do if you feel your child is placed at the wrong school? District cannot accommodate so the booted him to county and its a transitional school but he is still there going on his 2nd year.

hey I have twins who we're born 3 months early. the younger one suffered a lot of issues at birth. only one kidney that functions and a small bleed on her brain. she is severely developmentally delayed and is almost 2. was wondering if I could speak to u directly and ask u some questions mom to mom. doctors have said it's a developmental delay but I'm sure my daughter has cp.

Do you feel taking an advocate to the meetings would help? I had someone offer.
