I never thought I would find myself crying over another animated short. This hit me in the heart, especially the score. Beautiful animation, I hope to see more of it in the future.

The thought that "nobody would ever like/respect/be kind to me" really does trip your own self up. Maybe it used to be true when you were younger, but carrying that with you forever will really just trip yourself up. You have to learn how to let go of that. I've been there.

Do people still really make fun of others for things like scars? I literally spent the whole short thinking it was about being made fun of for wearing glasses (also not very common anymore, I think) because I didn't think for a second that his scar was abnormal. Because of this, though, when the guy pulled off his antler I thought he literally pulled it off...and I was like...dude those grow back but nice gesture I suppose

The scar is missing at the end when he turns because it no longer matters if he has one. He is no longer defined by it because he has met people who don't define him by it. The power of not being judgmental.
