Thousand dragon is actually more useful than most ppl think, pairing it with pierce stone and it could be a dmg spike that flinch the monster(1.5k dmg per use, very likely the interrupt when it’s fleeing or what ever it’s trying to do), although other ammo like crystal, bomb, cluster, thorn, might only deal around 400+, but still it’s so much fun to keep interrupting monster while giving your team more dmg window. If you played it right and snowballing it up, there will be dozens of of pierce ammo on the ground for you to spam,

I can never tell if i'm on 2nd or 3rd Hammer Charge during the Chaos. In most cases where i try to close in uppercut i instead just spin around like a moron and die.

I use power coating but never craft more on the fly (unless I am in raid fights, because every little help counts), and I switch on and off the close coat depending on the situation once the power coat runs out. Like, if I trap the monsters or KO them, switch to close coat and go to town, but if the monster is too far, flying or too dangerous to get close to I just switch it off and go raw. My personal tip is that don't be too focused on what speedruners do if you are starting, specially since they have 6k hours in the game and builds perfectly crafted to do what they do. You can LEARN from them, but don't try to copy them when you are starting out. Your stamina bar won't be able to keep up with all that crap anyway, so slow down your gameplay, bow is really fun if you give it a chance. I am looking forward for Wilds and the infinite coatings, tracers and the gauge, which will add a certain level of skill ceiling to the weapon.

Bow and dual blades feels like it's underperforming compared to other weapons because when you use them, you need to add skill like constitution, stamina surge, ect, while other weapons can simply maximize their attack skill. Edit: oh, and you need to have a right distance between you and the monster to deliver highest damage, i forgot what's it called. In the older gen, people who called bow has no damage is because they simply didn't know the bow distance, it's different for every bow attack type. I don't know why you didn't mention it on your video.

I had no idea I could press Y +B to charge my shield. I have been switching back to sword mode to charge it. This is game changing. I'm subscribing for this alone. You're videos on CB got me back to trying this weapon again. And it's great

what are the buttons to do the cool special jump attack right after the charge forward move ? i've been playing with my friend who plays the axe that changes into a sword and always blame him for sending me airborne but i think i did it without knowing once or twice

I cant do the descent Thrust attack… why?

Personally, if I’m far from the monster I prefer to turn around and back hop, it’s a lot faster and travels further than guard dash, however it’s a bit more dangerous, so better for intermediate players😂

Some important details I'd mention is that dragon piercer can cut tails, as well as thousand dragons WITH pierce pods

Got bored and decided to try Charge Blade again, didn't realize guard points were a thing and I was doing them accidentally, knowing they exist just gave me more reason to like this weapon lol

What buttons do you press in order to do an Interrupting Guard Point while charging?

charge blade simple mindset: charge your phial with right click attack (hold) -> store phial -> do charge phial again -> wait a chance to guardpoint or just SAED and ctrl to charge sheild -> store phial again and hold left click attack to charge your sword -> fight with your sword and wait for a chance to use AED -> if monster is down, use SAED. Nice explain dude

Pro tip: punish enemies or go for stagger using the sprinting charge attack. You can combo from basically any attack straight into a charge, which can do 130-200 damage (when optimized) on even the first tier stab, the second tier stab being even stronger. It’s much stronger than just spamming your regular poke and you have a moment to get in your regular combo immediately after.

As a card carrying cb cult member, I dislike charging my sword. I like playing around my phials and charging my shield to drop nukes when the time comes with huge axe damage. I know you keep your phials after charging your sword and you can go right into SAED but it just feels more like a waste of time when I could have dropped two or three huge axe swings instead. Not to mention savage axe.
