Over 3 decades working in, and around music, it is almost as important to me, as breathing oxygen. So, let’s talk.
I wanted to be a radio DJ of sorts. I always wanted to introduce music that I liked, to the world. Instead of what the typical radio personality is required to play by the mainstream broadcast radio industry. Let’s face it, a lot of what’s mainstream popular, isn’t actually really good. It’s pushed upon us by the machine that is the recording industry. There’s a lot of amazing music buried deep in the catalogs of great artists, but the average listener will never hear it
I've watched a lot of reaction channels, over the past years, and I realized I had a different perspective. I figured this would be a fun way to share, interact, and communicate with others who love music, like I do. This is a way to have fun, and escape from "the real world" for a bit. We are not here to argue, or fight, but to share, and uplift one another... So, join in the discussion...

Pre-Guitar 101 advice #guitar101 #beginnerguitar #guitaradvice #beginningguitar #10minutesofadvice
Hello,
I thought I'd take a moment, and give some very fundamental guitar advice, for the pure beginner. This is the same advice I've been sharing with thousands of beginners, who've just gotten their very first guitar... It is less than 10 minutes of advice.
I hope it can help some of you, on your path to learning to love the instrument.

Today, we listen to a track from Extreme's latest album, Six..., called "Thicker Than Blood". I love Nuno's guitar work on this track. I has a little different sound, than most of Nuno's solos. He's not much for using effects, too often. However, on this song's solo, he's using an octave effect, to give a different texture.... Let me know what you think?

Here is a gorgeous song, written and performed by Steve Lukather, as a tribute to his late, former bandmate, Jeff Porcaro... Jeff is one of the great drummers, of the past 50 years. His playing can be heard on coutless top music hits, soundtracks, as well as Toto albums. If it weren't for Jeff, Michael Jackson's "Beat It", wouldn't be the legendary song we all know it to be... Steve performed t...

Thank you for this! It’s helpful for a beginner like me.
Brilliant solos by Fast Eddie on Live to Win!! ♠️ 🤘
신나는 사운드가 나오네요,,연습해 볼게요^^ ❤❤❤
i love this album so much! "king for a day" and "the last to know" are true musical gems.
Poem 58 is my favorite track in the whole album!
Nickle Creek has always been one of my favorites.
Blue grass instruments but more like progressive rock. They have never put out an album that wasn't amazing! Have you heard the song Green and Grey?
와,,제가 알고있던 올드팝의 익스트림이 맞나요? 같은 밴드인가요?? 엄청 젊고 멋진 곡인데요? 👍깜짝 놀랬어요^^❤❤❤
The greatest band nobody has heard of! LOVE LOVE LOVE this band and I think its time for a reunion show!
Can you get the screen any smaller...really
I concur with your analysis!
I had both of these! What’s next? Jungle love?😅
Great song! Is it on? Every once in a while, I feel goofy!
My favorite 3 piece bands 1 Rush 2 Police 3 ZZ Top 4 Cream 5 Triumph
I love some of the songs like this which weren't their biggest hits like this one, Murder by Numbers, Bring on the Night, So Lonely, Walking on the Moon, and Invisible Sun
처음 듣는 곡인데 너무 좋아요^^ 감사합니다🙏❤️❤️❤️
와~멋진 연주예요👍 잘 들었습니다^^❤❤❤
Wow , didn't hate nuthin' bout that 🎉😂 😢 Sorry about your friend ! Loved the guitar 🎸 but OOH man THE DRUMS AND BASS.....BEAUTIFUL you are right great rhythm section 👍 😊 Keep on truckin' dude
Tasty, as usual, which is what The Police do Never realized Andy Summers was influenced by Robert Fripp until our host pointed it out...I should have caught that sooner
Terry Kath's solo is, as always, amazing! Is it me or have people forgotten how great of a song "Poem 58" is? His guitar solos through the whole tune, mind blowing!!
My parrot 🦜 chose the movie last night , he makes a game show wrong answer sound each movie you ask him until it landed on reemo then he laughed 😂 ,it was the best just awsome, the pyramid of sand on the beach scene 😂…. I’m a life long guitarist that’s some real good tech talk ✌️👽🤘
I love the 3 versions . Mostly the Video Version
All I can say is Terry freaking Kath introduced us to his band and then personally gave us a reward for listening to the end of the lp
TK is such an under appreciated guitar legend.
Hope I answered your 1st & last track question. After listening to Chicago for over 50 years, what struck me, as I watched this, was how this was Terry’s band here. Robert is their undeniable leader now, Pankow led the horns and Danny will always be one of my favorite drummers. They lost me when David Foster made it Peter’s backup band, but CTA was a showcase for Terry’s talent and his guitar and vocals stand out in this video
I’ve been a fanatical fan of Chicago since the release of Make Me Smile in March 1970, in my sophomore year in high school. Introduction is my absolute favorite among favorites. Always great to find another kindred soul. Thanks, I’ve subscribed.
Thank you for joining us… I think you will find a lot of kindred spirits, here, viewing my channel. There are quite a few Chicago videos for you to check out. I think the “Chicago“ playlist is numbering close to 70 videos.
Yeah. I have to agree. The mixing, solos, vocals…everything was better in the studio version, very powerful track.
I appreciate you
True music!!
💯
Love you, buddy, glad to see you back. Hearing you play puts a smile on my face.
🙏
And just one more thing how am I the only person that sent a like 👍 so there's another 😂😂😂
Love ya dude I understand everything you said about this song ,it is a great song by the way , because I Shall Return AND She Said both tore me up and in a strange way kinda put me back together and healed me up just a little bit . I've said it before and I'll say it again GREAT MUSIC IS MAGIC so thank you for being one of the people that do bring a little magic to my life Brotherman ! Johnny was a schoolboy when he heard his first Beatles song ❤🎉😂
😊
기분 좋아지는 곡 추천 감사합니다. 피아노 반주가 통통 튀네요^^❤❤❤
She is transcendent
Nice track and smooth ambiance. A time travel back to those Sunday afternoons when we were children playing on the floor of the living room while our parents were listening to their old cracking vinyls. Thank you for sharing your wide musical knowledge !
🙏
와,,첫 소절부터 감탄이 나오네요. 보컬+기타솔로=👍 뭔가 많은 생각이 들게하는 곡같아요❤❤❤
It certainly struck me that way. 💯
I saw CTA some 11 days after this album was released, opening for Jimi Hendrix. I had a drums lesson the Saturday after; my teacher also attended, so he asked me which drummer I thought was better. I was 12, so what do I know, but I liked Mitch Mitchell; he liked Danny Seraphine...
Boy, that would’ve been a really difficult question for me to answer. I am definitely 50-50 on that one. They are both among my favorite drummers of all time.
“Half truth, and alibis, build a wall of denial.” “She drinks and she cries and she hides from the past because the truth is more bitter than the tears.“ are both brilliant lyrics, which caught me…
🤔
다시 음악 이야기 들을 수 있어서 너무 좋아요^^❤❤❤
🙏
As much as I and others worship MK's tone, this song couldn't exist and wouldn't shine without the pedal steel pairing that in my mind trumps.
🤔
Good to see you back here. I have to get off my ass and actually learn to play the guitar I bought a couple of years ago. Belated happy birthday to you. Reach out to someone close and talk with them, chat with us here, and feel free to lessen your burdens with your viewers here to help take the load off. Granted a pet can't replace a human but there have been many times the companionship of our cat has helped me through sad times. Classic Chicago from the Terry Kath years has often been my therapy. It's a wonder how the music we grew up on can help save us. Be well, and see you again soon!
Was I reading your mind…?
I don’t have much experience with depression, but I’ve gotten emotionally drained in the past over a death in my family and also a couple of bitter breakups with past girlfriends. The only advice that I can offer is to surround yourself with people and things (music, food, books, movies, shows, etc.) that make you feel happy. And, to be honest, sometimes the very best thing that you can do is exactly what you’ve just done…….get away from all types of social media, which I firmly believe is the the bane of human existence.
Glad to see you are back and doing better . Let's keep this all going in the right direction.
Thank you… 🙏
Since we’re talking Chicago, I would also consider the album Hot Streets, with the tracks Alive Again & Show Me The Way being kind of apropos, given the circumstances at that time for the surviving band members.
🤔
Someone else on here had mentioned an Eagles album. I was thinking of them too. Only the album would be The Long Run. Given how that was basically their last album from their heyday, the songs The Long Run & The Sad Cafe seem appropriate.
🤟👍
Oh , and by the way BRAVO I luvs me some Chicago 🎉
🤟
Feel better, glad to see you back. This pairing DEFINITELY goes together as a first track/last track pairing, with Terry Kath asking the audience in "Introduction" to give them a chance and in "Liberation" thanking the audience.
💯
EAGLES DESPERADO ALBUM 😊
👍
8:14 αm, here overseas. A new day starts. And it is so good to see you, to listen to you playing and explaining, Alan! Thank you … and happy belated birthday 🎂
🙏
I THOUGHT YOU WERE PLAYING PRETTY GOOD THERE 😂🎉 With that said now listen up no more isolating ! Isolation is just a deep dark little hole you crawl into so you can tell yourself how you're no good or what a worthless piece of shit we might be , because you can only do that alone and in the dark , that crap doesn't work in the light of day and amongst FRIENDS !? NEVER SHUT THE WORLD OUT by laying yourself wide open you can't possibly know who you might save maybe even yourself I can honestly say there were a few days you've helped me through . The road is long with many a winding turn . YOU AIN'T HEAVY YOUR MY BROTHER . If I could suggest just one thing that I'm sure you already know just start every day with a listen to Simple Man and REALLY LISTEN TO THEM WORDS there is a good reason why that song is so powerful . Truly great music is magic it has the power to heal and even restore our souls . So you come back Brotherman in your own good time AND PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC WHITE BOY 😂
🙏
아,,,,다시 돌아오셨군요. 👏👏👏그동안 걱정많이 했어요, 무슨 일 생기셨나? 하구요. 😢😢😢 다시 돌아오셔서 너무 기뻐요^^❤❤❤
I appreciate you
One day at a time...and sometimes you need someone to just listen--seek out a person who will do that, just listen
I appreciate you, Michael.
Always loved that bridge part starting at 4:37, sounds so surreal!
Me too, brother… I appreciate you.
I just rediscovered this album... Fantastic!!!
