@@paulhenry1011 no…that’s bad rings, bad head gasket, bad cylinder or bad head …sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you probably need a top end …question is, is cylinder or head damaged …if it’s just the piston and rings you’re looking at 150 dollar repair if you do it yourself if it needs cylinder repair or head replacement it can go into the thousands

@@MysticalMagikalMistress if it’s not the flame sensor, it could be the high limit temperature switch being tripped from your AC condenser coil being plugged with dirt and debris… also make sure that your air filter is clean… don’t let the technician sell you any parts before you verifies that a coil condenser unit is clean

I’d simply misunderstood the context of his discharge…. @@mdarazs hopefully that’s the problem for ya. If it isn’t , there’s a possibility the cases are letting transmission oil into the crank housing. This is common after rebuilds, the tiniest smodge or nick on the sealing surface between the case half’s can definitely cause oil fouling of a plug. And easy way to check this it to empty the bike of fuel, purge the engine (meaning kick it over a shit load without a plug in), put the plug back in, kick it over a few times without fuel, pull the plug and inspect for oil, if it’s covered in oil that doesn’t smell like two stoke oil then there’s most likely case oil finding its way inside the crank case. Another way (if you can get to run long enough) is to pull the case filler cap while the engine is at idle, if there’s positive pressure coming out of the filler hole you’ve got a case leak or crank seal bad

@@TristanSogge definitely a valve timing issue … don’t trust the timing marks you have to go old school make sure the piston is a top dead center, and that the valves are both closed on the camshaft.. a degree often either direction will create all kinds of problems… unfortunately unless you know the maintenance history of the engine, someone may have swapped parts, and those mating marks may not be accurate

@@localenterprisebroadcastin5971 supposedly the engine was rebuild like 20 years ago and shortly parked after and sat, I got it running and drove it around a fair bit. It’s always been a hard one to start when cold

@localenterprisebroadcastin5971 thanks for the help, you don't think it will be overtightened warm if I do it when cold? Mine rattled until about 130 degrees.

@@sethy5372 you’ll know if it’s too tight …the motor will make a hissing/whining sound …I forgot to mention in the video that if you’re doing it at operating temp, you need to tighten the screw a half turn after the noise stops …this takes up the slack when the engine is cold
