The Spurgeon Sermon Series is a growing collection of audio sermons, re-preached by British pastor (Gavin Childress) for the continuation of Spurgeon's ministry. Just as through Abel's acceptable sacrifice, 'he being dead yet speaketh' (Heb. 11:4), we are delighted that by such recordings, the impact and influence of his message may be furthered. Each sermon was recorded for the Glory of God alone and the spread of His Glorious Gospel, aiming to magnify the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ, far above that of any instrument or vessel. Please feel free to stream, download, copy and share any sermon.
Before Daybreak With Christ- SpurgeonSermon
A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Thursday evening Dec 9th 1880
We tend to think of an unconverted person who is content as being in a good place. Spurgeon shows us that all true contentment is the privilege of true believers only, and has its roots in the living God.

What happened to the other voice? It was literally my favorite Spurgeon voice. So easy to listen to and follow along.
I have marvelled at the lack of understanding of the apostles while Christ walked this earth, and now I see I am no different, not understanding The Holy Spirit.
For those who have the eyes to see, the ears to hear and the heart to perceive. I've learned the difference in those God chooses and those he doesn't. It's worship. Not hearing the gospel. Not going to fellowship or being part of a congregation, but to delight in the worship of the Lord. Pride is what keeps those from truly worshiping. You can't sit in a pew with a stiff neck and an unbent knee. Worship leaves you in a state one can't be proud in but is wholeheartedly humble. "To cast yourself at Jesus feet"
Thanks for sharing. God bless you. 2Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, & of love, & of a sound mind. Amen.
Very confusing concept . The Bible tells us no one seeks after God . We are dead in our sins . Only God call seek or call to whoever He chooses to . So , how can one NOT BE SAVED once God has made His decision ? Am I wrong to say that if God wants you on the team , you're going on the team ? I have long felt this way , even before hearing of doctrines that seem very similar .
The primary scripture that expresses the idea of God choosing who he wants and not choosing others is Romans 9:11-13, particularly verse 18, which states, "So then he has mercy on whomever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomever he chooses." Yes, in fact, the bible is clear that God chooses whom he chooses entirely according to his own good pleasure (Eph. 1:5; 2 Tim. 1:9), for the display of his glory (Isa. 43:6-7; Rom. However these scriptures refer to him saving those who other men don't think are deserving of being saved. Oh him leaving the 99 to save the one. Some people go and sit in a pew but are too prideful to go to the alter and throw themselves at the feet of Christ in front of the whole congregation. They sit still in their seat with a stiff neck and straight knees. They sing but they don't worship. They act the part in public but they snub the poor even when the Lord puts them in their path.
@theoryofpersonality1420 thank you for your time.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful message. It is such a privilege to hear the Prince of Preachers. You do a wonderful service to God & his servants. May He bless you abundantly in Jesus Name.Amen \♡/
More pontificating by someone who feels they are qualified.
His name was Charles Haddon Spurgeon and he was more than qualified. You need a history lesson.
@@theoryofpersonality1420 "His name was Charles Haddon Spurgeon and he was more than qualified." Are you saying this guy was another Jesus? or Moses? Did he heal like Jesus? did he write some of the bible? Did he perform miracles? If not, it sounds like he was just a preacher. Tell me -- how was he more than qualified?
You're just contentious and being absurd. Many people are called by The Lord everyday. Even to this day.
@@theoryofpersonality1420 "You're just contentious and being absurd. Many people are called by The Lord everyday." Okay - prove it with fact-based evidence.
No one is qualified only through Grace by Christ. And we must ask Holy Spirit for discernment when listening to sermons. And He will guide you. Blessed are those who preach the truth.

Wonderful message, and beautifully spoken!
Isaiah 55 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. 3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

🎉Psalm 46:1-4 🎉 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

Praise God
17 years ago the most experienced heart surgeon in Britain said to me "You need an emergency operation, but your chances of surviving the operating table are extremely small!" It did not scare me, which is very unnatural because it is normal to fear the unknown. So my mind raced on realising this, so I thought I've got to respond, therefore I asked "What if I don't have the operation?" He replied "Your life expectancy is 10 days, 2 weeks absolute maximum!" So I signed the consent forms, realising my life is not my property and my Saviour will do what is best. The theatre was a large room, school classroom size with lots of people doing all sorts of things when they knocked me out. About 6 days later the surgeon burst onto the ward full of excitement reminding me of a young child on Christmas morning. He almost shouted "That went far better than any of us had expected!" Fear did not participate in any part of my medical rollercoaster, I can only conclude that God decided to remove fear from my menu.
God Bless You.
Thank you Lord for your, ministers and pastors of your truth thank you JESÚS Amén 🙏🏿

‼️⁉️ 🤔Nuns..?? How are they our sisters.??
"5:30"...⁉️🧐 IF priests in the Catholic Church understood the gospel better than the church of England, THEY WOULD NOT BE PRIESTS IN THE HERESIES AND FALSE GOSPEL OF ROME.⁉️😳 What has the book of common prayer have to do with Scriptures.???🤔
thank you, so beautiful, believers receive so many wonderful gifts from God.
1 John 3:20-24 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Amen!
This is a false doctrine. I AM THE PARACLETE

Hebrews 10 1 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
