      @Necromass-pi2ih Listening to Marduk, Watain, MGLA, Antichrist Seigemachine, Horna, Archgoat, Satanic Warmaster, D-beat Crust bands, any band with a blue album cover that sounds like Dissection, crossover bands that sound like D.R.I., hardcore punk bands, and avoiding clownish melodic death metal bands with vocals akin to having an ice pick slammed into my ear canal at the speed of sound.

      @Necromass-pi2ih I worked in college radio in the early 80s, we played Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost etc. when they first were out, but also R.E.M., Husker Du, The Replacements, Throwing Muses, The Pixies, The Cure, The Cult, Black Flag, The Circle Jerks, The Misfits, TSOL, DOA, early Manowar, The Rods, and of course Motorhead. I was actually reprimanded for playing Dio era Black Sabbath on the air during the day. All the heavy music was to be played between Midnight and 4am with the "college sound" during the day with a few segments of jazz, blues or classical in the early evening hours. I do like early Amon Amarth, Dismember, Entombed and Rogga's body of work as well as anything related to the band Sleep(High On Fire, OM). It just seems to me that the melodic death metal sound has gotten bland and doesn't have the EDGE or EVIL of Black Metal. I also like some folk/pagan bands like Fjed. And secretly adore the artist Eliwagar. And of course Beethoven from time to time(I took several years of classical guitar lessons but do not really care for Malmsteen or his ilk).

    I love this cd !!!! I got so lucky to see these guys on their recent tour for this cd , i bought the cd and loved it immediately, became friends with them , and now we're discussing a tour next year featuring my band , Dysplacer and several other bands
