Here at Forest Meadow our mission is to encourage, instruct, and equip the body of Christ, to make disciples, and to see the East Mountains renewed by the Gospel.
We are a broken but forgiven people who seek to build the Kingdom, to love our neighbors, and to lay stepping stones for eternity, so that those who come behind us might know the Lord, walk in His ways, and have hope as they journey on the narrow way toward our true Home.
We are located in the East Mountains near Tijeras, NM and Edgewood, NM. If you can join us in person we'd be happy to see you!

Im a lost sheep :( broken hearted from my last church :( i was judged when i shouldn't have been :( i am temporarily living in tijeras...since last November.. trying to find a new church home! Just know I'm not perfect :(
Connie, none of us are perfect. We all have issues and you will learn this if you come and join us. We are broken people whom God cares about deeply. To put it simply, we are beggars telling other beggars where to find bread. We have found the bread of life. His name is Jesus. I hope you join us soon. - Pastor Mike

I am getting the feeling that Herod may have been slightly interested in John the Baptist. I think the fact that he called out Herod's and Herodius's sin turned him away. Nobody likes their sin called out for the world to see, especially a king. I think he was afraid of having his sin exposed, or maybe he felt like John was criticizing him. I don't think he wanted to listen to John after that. Also, I think he was easily swayed by others, and what others thought about him was more important to him than what was right. It was so much easier for him to silence John and please his wife by putting him in prison rather than to deal with his sin.
