We are located in southern West Virginia, among the Appalachian Mountains. Having a much different weather and environment than most beekeepers providing information online. As 4th generation beekeepers, we wanted to provide all levels of beekeepers with information about beekeeping, pollinators, woodware, the environment, and other areas of these topics, suitable to our area, and do it in the most simple and fun way that we know how. We realize that if you ask 10 beekeepers the same question you will get 15 different answers. So, we encourage everyone to gather as much information as possible and use what works best for you and your area.

What's the expected price to start a hive and how long before you start getting honey?
I've never understood all the people who say that the open feeding causes robbing. It literally does the opposite. Great video. I use these bucket feeders as well and i have noticed that the bees become very hygienic and rub all over each other, and knock mites off. so, I went and added some essential oils with lecethin to the feed and have noticed many dead mites on feeder. seems like a good way to knock of mites from foraging bees and also any other antimicrobial, fungal , viral benefits
A Questionable Golden Beeswax Afterthougt🤔🤔🤔🍯🍯🍯🍯🐝🐝🐝🍯🍯🍯 whats Expensive Honey🍯🍯 or 🐝🐝💛💛🤔
Since they are using their front legs to "sweep", and dragging their mandibles across the surface, it looks like their cleaning up any particles that may be attached to the surface. In my mind of minds, I would think it would be particles of pollen dropped by foragers, since this behavior tends to occur more during a dearth. Just my 2c..
Does this also help bees that are not part of the apiary? Do bees not part of the apiary even come around or do the bees there run them off? Sorry for the questions, I’m just learning and I find this stuff so interesting!
That's a bunch of bees!
