What do I need to buy to get the hooping station for my 5.5 inch mighty hoops?

Best advice i can give you is for you to learn digitizing and then you get to synchronise with the machine and learn more about the machine 💪

Hi, You can get the Adjustable Freestyle Fixture & base( you might already have base) to use with most sizes of MH. There is a video on their site. You have to click the Fixture and scroll down to view. Also the backing holder for the sleeve is great! Otherwise you can tape the backing to the frame to keep it in place.

Do you do your own digitizing?

Your story seems a lot like mine when I first got my Ricoma TC 1501. There is so much to learn, that isn't in any video. I received my machine and I had to wait two weeks before the first class and the instructor broke my machine during the class on video. So they had to send a service man to my home and I live in Texas and I think he came from a city in Texas. He taught me a lot of good tips. It took me almost 3 weeks to get someone to listen to the video and see how my machine was broken. I got the video tech assist also before they decided the part had to be replaced inside the machine. I was down the 6 weeks of ownership.

Do you use the same color for your bobbin? I usually just use white or black but I am getting ready to do a blanket and I am wondering what the norm is.

I'm still confused why the hoops don't latch into the arms all the way. Is that normal? I have some Melco's and they lock in. When I first got them I had to adjust the 2 screws on the arms so they would latch all the way in. Have you tried to adjust the screws on the front of the arms?

I just wanted to address the don’t buy Ricoma comment. I have owned 2 Ricoma machines and both have worked like a champ! With and mechanical items things will happen. The bracket issue could be because the screws were over tightened repeatedly and finally failed. After owning several Ricoma machines would I buy another? Yes, I can’t say it’s the greatest machine, but it’s a great value and hasn’t let me down so far. Just my 10 cents, 2 cents after taxes…

Brittany, thanks for making a great video about real issues. I had the same issue with my bracket. Fortunately I am a machinist and I installed heli-coils in both brackets just so I don’t have to deal with it again. Most people aren’t machinists so I won’t bore you with details. My point is that you may know someone who is handy that might be able to fix brackets for a fraction of replacement brackets. Just curious, was the $61 for both brackets or just one?

Great video and very good colour choices. Di my only question is you used cutaway stabilizer in the back and so you need to cut it away. How close to stitching do you cut. Isn’t it scratchy when wearing

At the end, for a cleaner look in that kind of fabric you should use water soluble topping, the stitches tend to sink and move, the topping holds it nice and tight, you can remove it later by spraying water from behind the backing, let it absorb for a minute and it will remove itself from the small letters

It came out so cute. Great job, Brittney. I use a chopstick to hold down fabric. I got that idea from Boricua Sewing & Crafts. She is also a you tuber.

Great video. I ordered the HTVRONT autopress but canceled the order before shipping after watching a video with concerns from other buyers about the pressure issue. Now (this year) they (HTVRONT) came out with a nice MANUAL model that has the pressure adust knob and a swing-away top, plus the unit has good reviews. I'm receiving it tomorrow from Amazon, hope it works ok for me. Thanks for the good review. PS Nice shirt you made for your mom, tell her I said Hi ❤

I've used several DTF companies & they all have a thin white edge around everything. I think it's like screenprint where they use a white underlay so it can be used on any color shirt without distorting the color of the print. I'll have to check out 'My Craft Source' for pricing. Thanks!
