Wall leans. In uspsa they will put targets almost behind a wall so you have to hard lean. With a pistol its not as much as a problem but with rifle to be able to stay in the optic you almost have to. The worst for a right handed shooter with rifle is hard left leans. Those you almost have to be falling out of the shooting area to stay in the optic.

@ShootinBlondie I just never seen it like that normally I'd transition shoulders, I didn't know what drill you were running so I figured I'd ask haha thanks for the information though!

We shot together a few weekends ago at the 9 Banger match. I don't know how much uspsa she shoots anymore, I know she's getting ready for Rifle World shoot and that's why she was doing the 9 Banger match. Her, Lynda, and Justine were saying there isn't many matches out there that is scored somewhat like uspsa that you can run your AR. But it was cool getting to squad and shoot with those three.

looks like a 9 to me. i havent seen many but most 22 ars ive seen use a standard ar mag that holds 22’s but i could be wrong

also the casings look to be of a decent size so prolly 9 milly

You have to purchase the Mantis Laser Training System - as long as you don't get the infrared BlackBeard. Its pretty amazing but you don't use it the way she is using it. Room has to be darkened and a phone has to be pointed at the target with a tripod.

Number 1 have fun. But goal for any first match just try to follow the rules and don’t get DQd. If you do enough matches it’s bound to happen, happens to everyone. Don’t try to go crazy fast right outta the gate. Ipsc is a little different from USPSA, you can’t walk states other than your 4 minute walk through, so try to dial in your stage plan. Don’t let people distract you while you try to figure it out. Also most ROs if you let them know you’re new will make sure you don’t go first on the stage. Use that to watch other people, but don’t change your stage plan too much based off of someone else’s stage plan, when that timer goes off if you got too much in your head it’s going to mix you up. Ask all the questions you can, everyone had there first match at some point and the community loves to help. Be prepared to have fun and get addicted!! At some point find a USPSA match! Little more freedom with what you can do and run

@@ShootinBlondie Thanks I appreciate the advice! In Canada the closest I can do to something with uspsa rules is the odd 3 gun match they do every so often here in Alberta so I’m stuck with IPSC most of the time. Hopefully the 2 day black badge course we have to pass to become IPSC Canada members drilled the rules into me well enough that I don’t get dq’d my first match😂
