What a fantastic job, man. Did you play each 'take with the same bass? What strings did you use? The lighting makes it look like you had nylon-coated strings? Great to hear the bass-coder that has to be unique to the midi bass.

Look at you, slapping the talking heads. I like it ?. This is something I might do, too. I see you working on that double thumb, that's cool but remember, a lot of the people we like, they slapped down except just Victor. I like your energy though, for real. I see you being a player, wherever you cam from. I just work on downs, this whole time and probably can't even play this with my thumb, but I can play with my fingers, would need to do it. One day I will just need to learn this technique, I would never use the pick but definitely not against using fingers. There's maybe 3-4 ways to play bass now, 5 if you include lead bass, each way takes years of practice so you seem like a fairly young guy, it's just a matter of time now before you find a pool of water. When you get older, it just gets easier to play anything. I think it's hilarious that you listen to white music and I am listening to black music, I totally get it though, we want to learn more stuff. For me, it's a obvious decision to make, the sound of slapping, R&B might just get lost forever. If you can actually play any type of R&B music then you are a endangered species in music right now, does not matter who and this is especially true with bass, good bass. The people who used to teach the real theory, Miles Davis, Blues people, Bootsy and T.M Stevens barely have social media accounts or Larry Graham, nobody knows these guys anymore, but why not ?. It's because they taught too many people, there's a conspiracy somewhere in here. Victor is just a little different, he's definitely not hot or...sexy and at all. Put it this way, Victor never wrote a song with ladies in mind, he's just showing his skills off. So we see, he actually has a totally different approach to art. Marcus Miller is just a straight player, classic approach to art and personally, I would rather emulate that for a few reasons.

Smooth playing, awesome bass (wish they made basses with 18mm spacing) and one of my fav Gfriend song. Right before they disbanded too. Loved some of the improv that you did too. Gotta show this one to my daughter. (And learn how to play it like you did. :) ) Sub. : )
