I remembered when I tried this game on release, played for like 5 minutes, got offered the 10 rerolls, and when I went to pick the character I wanted basically said "Oh you want this one? That'll be $70 my boy." Never dropped a game so fast.

As someone who has tried to make something out of the 2.0 system despite the horrible impact it had to how we have to play the game. The decision behind it was completely and utterly braindead. I wish I had gotten the chance to experience the original version. Hopefully when the game inevitably shuts down, we can get to play the old system again on an offline version.

Suits only care about pulling PGR and Honkai numbers, what the fans want and what devs created never matter to them. It was never the point. Profit, never ending profit is the only thing that matter. The hate on POC is mostly unjustified. The game is not even bad. I even recently made a friend of mine start poc. He really likes it and he has progressed quite enough easily (he's an f2p player). People just love to hate the game Bc they changed the combat system thinking it's gonna be 100% pay to win. It isn't the case. Just because it's different doesn't mean it's bad. Playing mainly f2p, the game is surprisingly generous to you, provides you with enough challenges to give you resources the combat is really fun and progress doesn't rely on p2w at all. The only bad things are lack of any special new gameplay content, odd buffs/debuffs and old bugs still not fixed. Yall better stop whining. It's not as terrible as people make it to be, far from it. Play the game and enjoy it. The majority of the people hating it are acting like a bunch of kids. Yes, Nebulajoy are a bunch of greedy assholes and i wished anyone but them made this game. But that doesn't affect poc much.

I really wanted to like the game, but it just felt so darn lacking for a mobile game. I guess the DMC IP and gacha just doesn't really mix. I'm not against gacha games at all, heck, I'm sure I've invested a crazy amount of money into Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Furthermore, I had a feeling the game might not last too long, but I didn't think it would go down nearly the year it released for global. Then the whole statement of "it's a mobile game, what did you expect?" might have applied some years ago, but as of right now, we are at the point to where mobile games can have AAA titles. Sure, they won't have the same type of performance or graphical quality as the PC or home console counterparts, but mobile phones now are at the point to where they can really have nice quality games. Hell, as much as I hate to admit this, I'm sure that even Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim can likely be played on mobile. The Nintendo Switch version, at least.

Luckily with emulation, you can play DMC1-5 and DmC on your phone. It's much better than playing PoC.
