❤😊
Can you tell me the name of the park please
It's Victoria Park in Macclesfield.
Hi Neil, ever done a video of walking around New Mills/Mellor area? Some great treks around there!
Brilliant video Neil, love your films, must do this walk,my wife`s cousins live in Bolly, know the area well!
Iv just been recommended to watch your channel by Lancsway. Have to say not disappointed. Magical right from the start for videography and aerial/drone shots. Plenty of nature too keeping your dogs company. Very professional standards of filming. Thanks.
So glad I stumbled across your channel, very professionally filmed and produced, videos you just have to see right to the end. Looking forward to watching all of these, perhaps I may learn something.
Thank you, hope you get to see them all. I will be back out there filming in a few weeks so hopefully new films to come .
What a gem. Great film this Neil.
Thanks. Hope you get to enjoy more.
Really well filmed. We very much enjoyed streaming it to our TV. The article about wild swimming was an added bonus. Loved it and thank you 👍😊
Thanks Glenn, so glad you enjoyed it. 😘
Lovely production, thank you Neil. Just a little piece of information regarding the pack bridge. A friend of mine, Margaret Parker, whilst assisting with the archiving of the Crewe-Harpur family (at Calke Abbey, Tick all, Derbyshire) who owned vast swathes of countryside discovered that an ancestor of mine John Goodwin (a tennant farmer of said Crewe-Harpurs) built the replacement bridge (I think in the 19th century, but I could be wrong). Sorry to hear about Niamh 😢
Interesting, thanks for sharing.
Your very welcome@@WildsideWalks1
Great film Neil, I live in Macc so I'm familiar with all your routes, we're really spoilt for choice living around here. As a recently retired advertising art director, I can see you have a good eye for a shot, keep on ramblin man!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the film. Yes we really are spoilt for walks around this area. I hope you are still getting out there despite the not so perfect weather. Thanks for dropping me a line.
Lovely video with some great photography, thank you :-) A 'Low' is an ancient neolithic monument, usually as a stone circle or a round or oval stone barrow, since been covered with turf and often trees to hide as the church took over. They now appear as round or oval hillocks. There are many in the Peak District. If remember correctly there are two at Rainow one larger than the other and one been desecrated for its stone.
Thanks for the info,I will look into that. Hope you get chance to watch the other walks.
@@WildsideWalks1 For sure I will :-)
Beautiful walk and commentary. It literally took me back to my scouting days in the 1970s where I spent many a happy time camping at Gradbach and exploring the area.
It's a wonderful place isn't it?
I’m looking for easy walks as I’m coming to the peaks in May for a week. Easy because I have a bad knee and just had an operation on my arm and don’t want to fall and ruin everything. Any suggestions?
I love the Peak District.
Hi I hope it’s Neil? I did this walk literally yesterday and after putting my film up yours popped up. Superb channel and the filming out of this world! Great your promoting this great part of the world. All the best and now subscribed. Paul
Thanks Paul, Yes it's Neil. Glad that I turn up sometimes. I will give your film a watch later. Thanks for getting in touch.

Nice
They are gorgeous! 🦌 ♥
Yes they are. ❤
This is a really lovely video - - the first I've seen of yours. Beautiful country, nice clear explanations and, of course, gorgeous dogs! I was particularly struck by the roots of the tree at 11.04 - - awesome.
Thanks Margaret for your lovely feedback. The tree roots are incredible aren’t they? Makes you realise how much must go on underground to keep them upright. Hope you get chance to see some of the other walks.
Another fabulous video Neil thank you , Just added to my list of walks to do
Thanks Peter. 👍
Very nice.
theres green woodpeckers in there.. I can hear them
You’re quite right. Well spotted. 👍
A wonderful introduction with beautiful photography. Looking forward to seeing more of my home ground. One vert important question: What are the names of your two film stars? :-)
Thank you for the lovely feedback. My two starts are Niamh (Neeve) long haired and Roy the shorthaired.
@@WildsideWalks1 :-D Lovely names and suits them. Am familiar with the Irish Niamh. I am in Spain at the moment but planning on returning home in the new year. keep telling my Holly, an abandoned Otter hound x wheaten terrier found here, what wonderful walks she has to look forward too...the woods, the waters, the moorland, the smell of moss and bracken ..doggy heaven :-) xx
Fabulous video Neil, you’ve really captured the beauty of our local landscape. The photography and footage of the deer are beautiful...you are very talented!
Thank you Jacky, I hope you get to do the walk soon as autumn is just around the corner.
Off next week to Buxton for a few days and will be doing this walk with a bit of an extention. Really looking forward to doing it. Michael Dudt.
Hope you enjoy it.
Your os maps link isn't working
Great video, the production is really high quality, and the shots very artistic. I loved it!
Thanks Tim for you wonderful feedback. Hope you get chance to watch the others.
@@WildsideWalks1 I binge watched them all this weekend! Honestly, it felt like I could have been watching BBC iPlayer - the quality is that good. I’m actually moving to Wildboarclough in a few weeks, and I can’t wait to try all these walks. Thank you.
This is a brilliant video, well filmed and very informative. I look forward to watching more of your content. Thank you
Thank you Justin for your very positive feedback. 🙂
Just found this video after subscribing the other day and a grand day out it looked to be too. Great wander Neil and certainly one I`d like to do. I couldn`t help but wonder, like someone else mentioned in the comments, what happened to the other dog half way through? Did you film this over two walks and edited them together? ATB Dave.
Ha, yes David it has been noticed by many. It was filmed over a few days and she injured herself on one of the days (you can see her limping in some shots) So she had to go home and put her paws up which meant she missed part of the filming. Glad to say she is now back on all fours. Thanks for the subscription. Please spread the word. :)
Hello Neil. First time visiting your channel. Excellent video and very informative. Look forward to watching more of your adventures. Have subscribed. ATB Dave.
Thank you Dave, spread the word...😉
Absolutely loved watching another Wildside walk. I was transported to the beautiful countryside. Thankyou for sharing 🙂

Fantastic to see another Wildside walk with you and your beautiful collies 😊👍 looks like a fantastic route. Will add it to my list. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Sarah
Fantastic video. Recently discovered this area and can't wait to try some of these paths.
Lovely film 😊
Another great walk and video Neil must take you a while to film and edit them many thanks
Well done great production. Do you do this professionally the quality of this is to good for just you tube?
Thanks Steven, I'm yet to receive a penny for them but I live in hope.
Wow what a fantastic thought out and put together video. I've done many of variations of the Goyt Valley walks but had never come across the Graves of the Grimshaws nor was I aware they were buried at the top of the hill. You learn something new everyday! The Goyt Valley is a truly stunning place, probably my favourite place to walk during the autumn/winter months- The views of the reservoirs are truly stunning! Keep up the good work.
What a great find , this video has realy got me excited for when my boys are a little bit bigger , some of the shots are amazing !
Love your videos. It's like watching a better version of Countryfile! 😊 this one looks like a cracking walk 👍
Thanks Isaac, yes it is a fabulous walk, especially at that time of year.
Just wonderful ... that sunset though ❤️😍
Superb mix of images and music, Neil. Really enjoyed it.
Such beautiful photography around Macclesfield. Neil and Suzanne are very special . I love the walks, the dogs, the videos. I wish I were their to enjoy the beautiful countryside with you both. Much Love from Canada
Thank you so much for your kind words
Fabulous video and incredible captures of some of our most beautiful locations here in the Peak District .
