True-- to a point. However, the equation is Power:Weight Ratio + Traction. Also, we aren't talking about 70's era v12. We are talking about a modern sports car with a huge v10... I've got nothing against Vipers, really. I just like to see people turn junkyard cars into 1/4 mile warriors that beat cars worth 10x as much money.
Cylinders means nothing. It is all about what the engine produces in HP, its obvious just hearing the engine of the mustang the viper was doomed. Most any car would be. Its obvious the guy in the viper didn't anticipate how much the mustang was modified. a person could come in with an old v12 engine that jaguar used to make back in the 70s that made less than 300hp would that be worth ranking on because it got beat by a modded mustang i think not.
Wow. Let out early for community college. Good job. If I wanted specs off of wikipedia, I would have asked for them. (The Mustang specs are wrong anyhow-- 5.0's never had 265hp and 5.0's were 302ci, not 238ci...). If I would have known I was going back and forth with a "college" student who couldn't afford a die-cast model of either of the cars in the video, I wouldn't have wasted my time.

So much hostility... not sure that someone who cannot spell deserves any kind of reply, but here goes: The Viper was on a drag strip. No matter what, it has (2) more cylinders. It lost. Period. Next time, I would suggest waiting until you pass the 4th grade before commenting.
ok please that is probably a 600HP stang... that stang is stroked and S/C... don't start kid... it has much more tech and power to it.. viper just has cylinders....

ok, so a mustang with an engine that costs more than the car beat a viper, a (most-likely) stock viper. I myself am sick of people claiming that these little 4 cyl. cars are beating vipers. Sure they can beat a viper!, if you slap on a a twin turbo, or a supercharger with nos. In most cases the viper is stock, running 400-500 hp depending on the year. Whereas these imports are starting at 200-340? (depending on the car)

Mustang is a 7.5 liter
uh no a mustang is 5.0 and a viper is an 8.0 they are no where near the same cubes

Viper got pwned. My 67 Stang with a 351 eats them for breakfast too-- all motor there as well.
