this song reminds me of my mom; specifically when we were in a somewhat stable place and we would take photos together everyday and do everything together until gradually I became a teenager and she started to abuse substances because of my dad and turned completely abusive. she just threatened to send me to a foster home today because I called the police on her due to her attacking my aunt (her sister) and I was terrified that she was literally going to kill her... so I called the police and today was honestly the first time I ever opened up to a male in my life aside from my therapist... I know the officer was just doing his job but his words and genuine concern touched me especially because he witnessed my abuse first hand. I really hope I see that officer again so I can thank him. But anyways I've kind of gone off topic and I apologize for the heavy vent it's just I struggle with opening up to people in real life because im scared of how they'll react and today just sealed the deal for me.
