Osm is not appearing in my basemap, why
Hi, did you try all the steps mentioned in the video, can you please describe exactly what happens with OSM.
@@TaronAleksanyan yes the basemap directory has only 5types of maps
how did you get OSM maps option in add basemap?
Mine is not working :( I followed all the steps and when I put okay it gets to loading and then in the bottom right of the screen the message appears with an X. Does someone knows how to fix this?
useless with very annoying music (why people do that!)
what did you do after download? I installed it but I dont see system toolbox, neither do I see OSM
Add Base map not showing
be sure you connected to the internet, test your internet connection in bottom right corner of start panel clicking by arcgis icon
not showing the openmaps option in base maps, how can i get that option?
Thank you Taron, you were very helpful, shenorhakalutun

Are you using the same version ArcGIS editor for OSM and ArcGIS Desktop?
Taron Aleksanyan arcgis 10.2 is not supported any of osm plugins, I upgraded to 10.3 and works. Thanks:)
I am happy to hear that everything is ok now!!!!
I get "ERROR 000732 Input OpenStreetMap Feature Class: Dataset OSM Downloaded Polygons\Building (Polygons) does not exist or is not supported" when trying to use the Attribute Selector... Any idea why that is? I see the info in the map, it's there, wtf is this programs problem? And how do I get this data out to a 3D modeler like 3Ds Max?
That was fucking annoying. Why not explain what your are doing?
Good evening. Can I import this file into SketchUp?
Joker Brazil yes just simply export it to colada file
i have a prob when fill the window download exract and symblize OSM data and click Ok nothings happen or created

Dear Sir, thank so much for your video. After i download this this tool and installed but i can't see it install in arctoolbox. So could you help me pleas. thanks advance
em sreang oh sorry for late response. Yes probably you need to go to arccatalog open arc toolbox and then I suppose you easily can see OSM toolbox
I am little late for this video, i digitized all buildings in my workspace. Nice video, it will save time a lot
tnx
Taron Aleksanyan can you suggest any methods to combine multiple roads into one road. Right now i have roads in one shape file, is there any method to dissolve it?
Gokul Anand just export your shapfiles to 3d files (collada will be perfect) and then in 3D analysis use the dissolve toll
I have not installed. requests first need to install ArcGIS, even though I have installed. what to do ? help, I do not understand arcGis
ur video was very helpful... thanks alot
Ansoon Albusaidi u'r welcome

Thanks. Awesome choice of music. I watched Arpeggios From Hell after watching your tutorial.
Que maravilla!!.. Me gustaría que explicaras un poco más el procedimiento... Buen video, una sugerencia la música tiene un volumen muy alto, se torna incómodo.
I never would've imagined Yngwie in a GIS tutorial, haha! Ապրես։

sorry , your back ground music made me panic
贾佳 Don't worry just mute it :) good luck ;)
Can i get your help in placing multiple collada files into place in a single ArcScene file. i have a city master planning done with plot divisions and i need to place different type of building in the plots. As i am a noob, please explain the steps. From you comments below i learned how to place buildings into the scene. But i wanted to place multiple units in exact locations. Since its a sloping site, an arbitary position is not possible, i need to place it on exact points on the file. Please help.
The easiest thing you can do is make a reference point in cad with respect to your building profiles on your Google image. You can then import that cad linework into sketchup and move things into place. If you are working on a sloping site, you might also want to make a sectional reference linework for the heights at which the buildings will be inserted.
superb...thanks a lot :)
I can do a geodatabase, but when I try to do the download extract, Simbolize part that gave me and error. Nice music by the way!!!
me llega... he aqui la tarea xD
make sure that your extent less than 50000 objects !!!
Nice video and give the complete view of the content. Tnx
To all the people having trouble with missing textures when importing 3d models to ArcScene: First: Make sure that you save in collada format. Esri have stopped collaborating with sketcUp after ArcGis 9.3 was released (around 2008) , so the import of skp files isn't working well. Second: Make sure that the "output multipatch" is a geo database feature class and not a shape file. (gdb>shp) shape files do not include texture information
thanks for good explanation, I would like to add that actually arcmap 10.1 (I don't know about 10.2) works well with below of sketch up 6 formats so make sure that you save your sketch up file (.skp) not higher than 6 version.
Nice, quick overview of the process. Cheers!
very good video... but i got one problem i am not getting textures of my building. Please help me.
Hi, you should save your Sketchup file as a Sketchup 6 and everything would be OK
Taron Aleksanyan Thanx for your reply. But here we are exporting our sketchup file as Collada file format. Actually everything goes fine till end but when i pressed stop editing, save editing in arcscene the color of my building disappear. I tried to bring it back but when i have saved it again the color disappear.
MK S It is really interesting, make sure that you have a folder where is saved your texture images, I didn't came a cross with this issue before. So write me your result please....
Taron Aleksanyan still not getting that color ...the color which is there in that arc scene layer covers my whole building . In this video exactly after importing that building @5:10 the color was not the same then you did some editing to get back those color @6:35. I would really appreciate if you can write those steps of editing .... I am using sketchup 2014 and ArcScene 10.1 Thank You.
MK S ok!!! Just save your sketchup file in sketchup 6th version, after that save your 3D as collada file !!! open ArcScene and from arctollbox open "import 3D files " just like @3:57 when the collada is displayed open 3D editor and click start editing after that must open "create features" window chose your 3D model and click insert tool!!!! After it you should click in right in the model it will mark with blue contours, and will appear a window where you should chose your previously saved sketchup 6th version file, after that textured model must appear, just simply select old untextured model and delete it!!!! HERE WE GO !!!! If you have any questions just write me ;)
I have struggled to do this for days and finally found your video. Thank you thank you thankyou....
Is here a way to download these colored images for free? glovis.usgs.gov/ only gives bands 1, 2 and 3. I just want to find more bands.
unfortunately no! you may download just a true colored, and gray images.
Thanks for sharing this information! :)
Your'e welcome
there are tools in arcscene called scale :) you may use it, also there are some tools provided by esri you can download it and use it!
Thanks Bro very much, i am having a studio of designing small city, I am confusing about the way to fix Sketchup model into urban plan with the right size. How to controll scale exactly?
there are scale tools, just open 3D editor and click start editing, after that right click in the model and there you will see scale option just click it and control your model !!! but I will recommend you to do it in another software because ArcScene isn't good software to do such manipulations with 3D model, It's geographic interface nothing more... unfortunately :(
Thank you bro
good luck
Yngwie rules!!!!
hello, plz i wanna know how i can change these bands(spectral channels "Band 1', "Band 2" and "Band 3") and go trough the natural color,i'am stuck :S
composite at first band 3, band 2 and band 1
I just add google sketchup file to my multipatch data and that case I had 2 different layers, wich one with textures!
tutorial is ok, but music sucks... can't focus on what should be doing
what do you think, the problem can be caused by size of this model? I have a few buildings in this model.. i dont know why it doesnt work...can you write me again, step by step how to export and import model?
hi, im depressed besause i cant add textures to my model. I added my model and i cant add textures, i cant see what you clicked to add it. sorry for my english;)
Thanks. Its true color ( Blue, Green and Red ) Band 1, Band 2 and Band 3 :)
Yes
