How to replace a thermostat on a 3.6 pentastar
10 mm socket,
8mm socket,
ratchet,
pliers,
orange coolant & replacement thermostat with new housing.
Old housing always gets brittle from being plastic and heat will make it leak over time.
Make sure to get all air out of coolant system!

everyone in the comments talking about how bad the cars are. but each one is a few generations dream cars. 2 major competitors from their time side by side. one of these fever dream races ppl want to see. and the whole comment section just bashing them knowing they dont even have a car most likely and they they do its even slower. yes my car is alot quicker than both of these but its still 13ish sec cars. and whether they looks fast or not they still actually driving them. something most car owners are too scared to do anymore.

@@Aaron-dp5kb idk we’ll see I’m a Ls man but have been highly impressed with this 5.6 has 100,000 pulled tons of trailers & vehicles zero issues.
Just as an "in general" answer, cause there's no context as to which variant of either engine, I'll go 5.3L because cheap parts, and huge aftermarket power adders market. That said, if it were a "which one if you could have any variant of either" then I'd probably take a VK56LV Infiniti build. Thats a sweet little stock 435hp build lol.

@@elwelkin not a 5.3 that’s stock that will out run a 5.6 9speed.
I'll take the 5.3. Smaller, lighter, same power as the early VKs and a cheap cam swap away from the power of the newer VKs none of the inevitable Nissan VQ and VK timing issues.

They are far from trash my guy lol. They are not as available and parts are nowhere near as affordable as the 5.3's, but both the VK56DE and VK56VD are far better than any of the 5.3's variants in stock horsepower and the .3L of extra displacement isnt rly the advantage its the vk's ability to hit over 420hp with just a tune if you got an Infiniti engine.
@@justintaylor2745 I’m running 400hp in my Titan hell it takes a 6.2 to hit just 420 so I’m highly impressed with my 5.6.
