Even though this is last year's I am in the mountains of the Himalayas and unable to attend liturgy at this time so I greatly appreciate what you have presented but it does appear that you have skipped some verses on this first day of Lent concerning the garments of flesh. Are there different versions of The Great Canon? Thank you very much.

From Dr. Albert Rossi of St. Vladimir’s Seminary: “Our modern translation of "mercy" is limited and insufficient. "Mercy" comes from the Greek eleison. Eleison has the same root as elaion which means olive and olive oil. In the Middle East, olive oil provides physical healing for many sicknesses, particularly respiratory. "Have mercy" means to have "healing oil" on my soul.” Hope this helps!

Is this a Latin Mass? Im Catholic but not familiar with this. Priest says a lot and choir's harmonies are beautiful. The mass is very beautiful.
