Depending on how close you’d like to be to either the airport or the hospital my recommendation would be to look at some thing in either Royal Oak or Cordova Bay. I would recommend looking into the rental section of Facebook marketplace, Craigslist and Used Victoria as they are where most are posted. Hi Blue Moon. Thats a great question. What type of dogs do you have? I have two samoyeds who require a lot of off leash activity. There are certain neigbourhoods that provide closer access for better off leash options. Those would include West Saanich, Mt. Hi Abie, North Saanich and Sidney would be closest to the airport. Though all of Saanich is relatively close. I recommend taking a look at the interactive map on my website to get a better visual of these areas. www.vicproperty.ca/

Hi Mia, Victoria is located at the bottom of the Saanich Penninsula. So there is West and East Saanich that border Victoria, then Central Saanich, and finally North Saanich at the top (North). Sidney is the city located near North Saanich. All in all there are more people that live in these 'suburbs' than in the City of Victoria proper. Hope that helps!

Hi Cooter. You clearly know the area intimately and you've made good and accurate points. I appreciate your input and have updated the title to include Vic West. For the video content, I had my friend and film maker shoot and edit. We did our best working within a timeline to get as much footage as possible and we did our best with what we had available. The content of the video, while not necessarily aligning directly with the dialogue does its best to highlight some of the great spots accessible both from and within Esquimalt itself. My son and I along with our dogs enjoy Macaulay park with the old battlements, the E&N trail by bike and E-skate and I have several friends and clients who enjoy the Gorge, Saxe Point and Esquimalt town centre. Hi George, property rentals are not within my scope. Basement suites are generally rented privately through the owners of the property vs. companies like apartment or condo buildings. The best place to look for vacancies would be through community sites like UsedVictoria.com or Craigslist. Happy home hunting!
