I have an 2005 R53 JCW with around 250hp. 177k miles on it. Daily and reliable. Just perform the maintenance and treat them right. Which a lot of people never did unfortunately. Like skipping the supercharger rebuild etc. Just do it. These cars aren't even whed to work on. Follow the steps and its pretty straightforward. Mine has a lot done to itbso u know it well but it was my first mini and i had bo problem jumping into working on it. These cars are cheaper than ever. Buy one in driveable condition, and buy a spare car for parts. Wrecked minis are stupid cheap. Bam done, you got car to build on thats fast as shit and not a lot can hang with on twisty roads lol. Make sure you get a 6 speed with the LSD though 👍

I think the new 7 series has a lot of ugly design features, but I think bmw is on the right track. They have a good base with the 7 series to give it a good face lift or build off of that for the next gen. It's not my favorite looking car, but bmw definitely achieved the look they were going for. I personally want to see it become more of a subtle design like the old 90s BMWs

R53 is better looking, it's got a supercharger which is cool, and it was in the Italian Job remake can't get much cooler than that, the R56 is ugly tbh the made the lights a bit different and and it's a bit bigger and engine isnt as reliable

Just another cheap enthusiast car turned collector item during the plandemic. I remember checking them out when a nice E36 M3 was 6-7k in 2016-2018. Ended up buying a C5 instead and im happy I did.
