My next bike is going to be a 24 350 RE, haha. Dang, that's crazy! The FMF really wakes the bike up and they sound amazing. We currently have three Betas, 430, 390, and 300, all race editions. The funny thing is that they were all bought from different dealers. The 300 was bought from Mud Motosport in Martinsville, IN, the 390 from Pro Action Motorcycle Sales in Hopkinsville, KY, and the 430 from Big 4 Cycle in Evansville, IN. All were awesome to work with but Pro Action in KY is our Preferred Dealer, the owner, Steve is amazing to work with.

@ I bought my 23 300 RE from Big 4. Bought the 350 RE from AC Motorsports in St. Anthony, Indiana.

@ we have so many dealers in the Southern Indiana and KY area its unreal. SIGPS is basically Beta Gran Prix series. Best looking bike on the market, idk how anyone buys a Gas Gas,

​@BetaRacer24 they are definitely growing in popularity. When I first got mine in I was one of the only Betas at the races. Now they are every where haha.

I was struggling pretty bad, haha. I need to work on staying smooth when the track and conditions aren't the greatest. I'm excited for Rock Run, hopeful for a better weekend, haha.

Yes and no. They sometimes need slight adjusting, but once you get it set, you don't have to touch it. I currently have one on my Beta 300 RE and I have had to make very small adjustments. The great thing is that you don't need tools to make adjustments.

What adjustments did you have to make? I just got mine and it was super rich out of the box.. I'm 1/2 turn leaner on the rod and it's got me very close but I still feel it's rich. I'm just super inexperienced. It still smokes on idle a tad and is rough going from torque jet to power jet. But my bike does not run like yours at all

Smoking at idle isn't necessarily a symptom of being rich. Excessive smoke at idle is a different story, but it's going to smoke at idle. Rough in what way?

@BAEnduro it gurggled and sputtered a little. I leaned out both my torque and power jets just a hair and it's probably where I'm going to leave it.. I just have little experience on 2 strokes so I'm sure alot of my problem is not riding correctly and keeping on the pipe. Where I really struggle is that fine tuning between slightly rich, perfect and slightly lean.. I never owned a dirtbike to know what a perfect idle sounds like, or what running lean sounds like while under load and little stuff like that. I'm definitely getting this shit down and are more familiar and comfortable with things. I just get nervous I'm going to grenade my bike that's only got 5 hours on it from the factory

@richardbrauer5950 we love the 390, especially after we put an FMF on it. That being said, if it were me, I'd go with a 350 for J day type events. It revs out a bit better and doesn't lose that much on the bottom. I'd say with an FMF would be even better, but I haven't ridden on with an FMF. You really can't go wrong with either, in my opinion. If you already have a Beta, then it's the normal complaints such as the seat, pegs, and stock tires. All things you will probably change anyway.

@mk3driftmotion the 390s down low torque makes it much easier to cruise on/ trail ride. I don't think you would be upset either way. The 350 is really good also.

@@BAEnduro Thanks! Sounds like the 390 would suit me better, I will be mainly on forest roads and singletrack. I also noticed the 350 RS has a 13.2:1 compression ratio, that seems quite high for California 91 octane pump gas. I think the 390 RS may have a longer lifespan with 12.48:1 compression.

@ScaleCrawling not at all. Get the shock and forks resprung for your weight and send it. It's more of what your preference is and the type of riding you do on which you should get.

I’m 255 lbs. and just got a 2023 KX450. I had a KLX300r, trail bike, and the suspension on the 450 is so much better for someone of my weight. I’m not sure what riding you will be doing, but you will not be short on power either with the 450. It’s twitchy from 1-10% throttle, but you get use to it. Good luck.

I ended up getting a 2022 Beta RR 300 Racing that had already been adjusted for a heavier rider. I'm very happy with it. 😊

@tamerawaller8798 we still have it. It's my brothers bike. His races are posted also. He also runs Warrior Class for IXCR and VET C for other series.

How do you like it? I am looking at a 2024 390RS, and its at a great price right now.

@TwistedApex I believe the 390 and 480 run very similar, and the 350 and 430 are very similar. Similar in terms of where the power is just a difference in how much. I absolutely love them all. They really are amazing bikes

​@BAEnduro They really are. I was happy to just get such a package running at the most optimal state without having to fork out for an ecu and exhaust endcap just so i can ride it the way i want to. I was considering KTM as you might be able to tell 😂

Ya, it was unfortunate going the wrong way, but it's a lesson learned to watch the markers a little closer. Ya, sometimes I think people come into my line because the Beta is so quiet that they don't hear me near them. Thanks, this is my second year racing, and I've learned a lot, especially the last several races. I used to do 4k, but I get about 15 more minutes of the race in 1080. I bought a 2014 KX450 next to my KX 500 it was my favorite bike and stupid fast to boot!!

It's all good, haha. Some sections aren't good to pass in, and if it makes it so your race could be ruined, getting over in a bad spot, I'll wait until it's safer. Absolutely, I look forward to talking to you.

Everything....haha. mostly whether I've just been a 4 stroke hater all my life or if I could see myself riding/racing one. Since this video, I've ridden several other 4 strokes, and I get it now, haha. I still love my 300 2 stroke, but I think I'm gonna give a 350 4 stroke a shot, hopefully next year.

​@davidmolyneux7284 this is a friend's bike but with some gearing changes it would be a really good woods bike. It has smooth power but a bit much for me at times. I don't find it necessary to have the 450 power all the time, so that's why I'm aiming more towards a Beta 350.

It sure did. I'm a die-hard 2 stroke guy, and this was one the first 4 strokes I had ridden in a long time. It started me down a rabbit hole towards getting a 4 stroke, and after riding several Beta 4 strokes, that's exactly what I'm doing.

No. We had the dealer reflash it with the updated +100 idle map and it seems to have solved the issue.
