Like, he's all the gay stereotypes rolled into a bright and sunny boy and it manages to be so sincere that it just works. He's not a sexual deviant, he's not nearly as horny as half the straight people in this show and he's always shown to be a good guy who loves and supports the people in his life as best as he can.

Jasper is great, just weird they had him tell Brian to lie about Stewie's script when he'd be more encouraging about it. Like tell Brian to see Stewie as more of a rival to push himself not the opposite. Was probably around where characters were getting heavily changed to just be assholes.

i won’t sit here and act like jasper was some revolutionary piece of representation or that he wasn’t there to poke fun at queerness, but you can tell this wasn’t done with malice. jaspers character is not JUST a gay stereotype, it’s filled with actual references to queer culture. there’s actually a lot of jokes like that in seth macfarlanes shows surprisingly. one of my fave joke is one from the “lincoln lover” episode of american dad where they’re trying to keep gay men entering a republican meetup by weeding them out by making a bunch of gay in-jokes: iirc one of the security guys test someone by going “clang clang clang” which makes one gay guy start singing “goes the trolley!!” so they grab him and rush him out😭😭 THATS how you do a gay joke right (imo), not just having a “lol 2 guys kissed joke” or “hey look at this typically hetero character doing a gay thing haha they’re secretly gay” (although as a queer fan im biased so i can appreciate the occasional “peter is secretly bi” joke). anyways its jokes like that that hit close to home for a lot of queer people watching it, including myself. you can poke fun without pushing down an entire group of ppl. i wish more comedians could understand the power of laughing with rather than laughing at-hell half the time we make these jokes on our own if you let us😅 sorry that became a rant. obv seth macfarlane isn’t the best ally but jokes like these i can appreciate as a queer person myself :) i hope the writers just forgot abt him and it’s not bc they think we’d be offended by him. hell i know plenty of queer ppl in these comments alone who’d write the jokes themselves if it meant bringing his character back (cough cough family guy hire me as your gay joke consultant cough cough)

Damn so he literally has only had dialogue *once* since season FOUR and has otherwise only appeared in shots full of random characters. They may as well have written him off entirely
