Well, you sound excited.
The idea of evolving civilizations like a Fire Emblem class tree was a nice idea but based on the current situation is....extremely flawed to say the least. Especially in regards to the Normans who exhibit roman, gallo-celtic, and viking influences.
I loved Civ 6 and if I'm not already convinced by some of the changes they've made (everyone seems quite happy with the admittedly Big change of "no builders") then I am intrigued at how I receive the changed myself. I didn't care for Religion in 6 at all pretty much, I love military commanders, am unreasonably excited for Navigable rivers. I like the crises, and my biggest point of contention or "Show me that it's sound" is the transitioning between ages, as the shift in momentum and "separation of different acts of the game" i suspect might make it all feel a bit disjointed. I'm intrigued as to whether they can pull it off and am excited to see it in action, but in any case I want to see if the early-game excitement & impact can carry through to Exploration and the Modern age.
I pre-ordered the deluxe edition too, figuring I'd pick up the DLCs eventually anyway. The game looks great. Have you watched any of the TH-camr streams--folks they gave an early key too? Marbozir and Ursa Ryan and PotatoMcWhiskey? They seem enthusiastic and show some new gameplay.

I'm impressed with how you handled the battle. I had a recent battle and was met with superior numbers, but I had better equipped units, but I still could not out-maneuver the AI; it simply was able to out-micromanage its units over mine.
Thanks, at this early stage I don't have the troops or equipment to beat the AI in a "fair fight" lol so I try to trick them and for that I figure I need the strategic view and not the on the ground micro-management view. I do like Total War kind of in the dirt unit fighting but feel i can only do that if I am totally confident of the strategic victory.

I'm enjoying this series (yeah, even the corny puns!). One observation and one tip; you're leaving some developement points unassigned, they show up just below your settlement name and you can use them to apply some efficiencies. Also, when you capture a section of the map, you'll need to add a tent settlement, from the Build>Administrative tab to get the starting resources to build that new plot of land up. Overall, its a very efficient world-build that you are building.

Thank you very much. I have a video applying a strategy for beating bandits with a militia of just a few men. I use a trick to get money with that outnumbered band of brothers and then hire some mercenaries. I shall also be uploading videos in which I get the village to level 2 and then level 3. Wow amazing tactic and strategy. I was soooo struggling against the bandits and feeling I am Losing with the AI lord claiming stuff This video literally opened my eyes I also love how its seems u write the strategy down and tried it for the first time in this video right. Coz as you said no plan survives contact with the enemy but you adapted and it was a great victory end of the day. Please make more amazing content like this I can see myself wat bing n rewatching how to do this.
