TLC QM8 or Sony 85L ?
Can you please check if it also has stabilization on video while walking? Or only 360 lock?
Thx for this short video. Can u make a longer camera test video from this phone?
Nombre del vídeo?
Cómo se consigue ese vídeo?
I have an oled laptop that can hit 1,000 nits full window and an edge-lit Sony. They are color and brightness matched and let me tell you, I would build a statue of Sony for that TV. I don’t know how it does it but the Oled is insane but the Sony matches it in torture content. If I learned one thing it’s that the technology is irrelevant- the implementation matters.
Will this option works on videos?
Yes! The screen recording demonstration is for video.
Which screen is the best in watching movies and the quality of colours in Netflix: Q70A or NANO86?
Go for Q80, if you can.
is full array LED, FALD, and local dimming all the same? I'm confused by all these terms
Full array led is FALD. Local dimming is a feature for monitors/Tv's to activate and dim each zones. The neo g9 has 2048 zones (mini led full array) and the g7 only has 8 vertical zones (edge lit)
Good video. I bought the 75 inch Sony X950H for $2500 on sale, it will arrive next week. Thinking about getting the 75 inch X85J instead for $$1300 but it does not have local dimming, will I really notice that when watching movies? I will be putting it in living room to watch regular TV, sports and movies
You probably won't. There are a few instances where you will, but Sony is so great that you can minimize it, or not even realize it. In fact, from this demo I pretty much liked the edge.
I would prefer a good Edge LED over FALD. I bought a FALD LG 65NANO91 and the local dimming was terrible. The blooming with subtitles and HDR movies was so horrible that i decided to return the TV. Then i had to make decision between Q90T QLED or CX6 OLED. I decided to opt out for a smaller 55" OLED because the smaller size bothered me less than the bad light bleeding. I think a good Edge LED is better bang for the buck due to having the backlight lit anyways.
I agree, there should be more info with this video. Isn't that why the text area is there?
The only difference between this technologist is the one with local dimming, will be darker... if u want pure dark you might go as well and get OLED...
If you want pure bright OLED is garbage, thanks to ABL.
Full array is still much cheaper than OLED...but more expensive than edge led
@@007GoldenLion FALD isn't that great without a MiniLED backlight or a VA panel.
I honestly dont see any much difference on the left side tvs, you can only see the difference of how it works on the right side. But thats not even important. The picture is important and to me it looks the same. People are so picky its unreal.
The lower contrast and slight bleeding on the lower one was easily noticeable. People are picky because they decide to spend their hard earned money on an expensive product and want to get the best out of it...
I honestly thought the same thing ! I'm taking my nanocell 85 back today for the 90 . When its night and your trying to enjoy 4k content or hd stuff on disney netflix or Amazon its noticeable. Infact the first few days it was so noticeable its all I could do but stare at it . I have a 4k lg 240 herts in my second living room 4 years old and its picture quality is better
Have you ever considered that you are limited to the current screen that you are watching this on, if they look exactly the same to you then your screen has an inferior picture then either tv.
@@leelee287 u got nano90 because of FALD?
Va edge led vs fald would be interesting, because VA EDGE LED has still great native contrast ratio, while ips panel without local dimming has very low contrast, but ofc in this video you can clearly see how much better local dimming is on an IPS panel
so not high quality full array yet
May I add that I've got a Q8DN (Q8FN for my American friends) and that most of the black of my tv is actually black. Not at all like both tv's on the right.
Which one better 4k dimming or local dimming
5G is much better.
Top: Full Array backlight dimming - Bottom: Edge (local) dimming.
Shitty video we don't even fucking know which one is which one
Which one is edge lit dimming
The left one
@@markgreywolf642 LOL
The right one is EDGE LIT and the left one is Fald (full array local dimming)
A good samsung va edge lit is fine because it has good screen uniformity, no DSE like tcl or vizio full array, and they have polarizers, diffusers, reflection plates etc and the pixels are good at blocking light where they need to. Its still pixel level control in a way, by blocking light, but it isnt as good as oled. But my nu8000 is way better overall than tcl r617 and vizio p series
Well I just bought the frame 2020 and it's also edge lit and edge lit TVs have gotten better as they now have dual led tech even the contrast ratio is over 8000 which is higher than the Sony x900h.
I honestly prefer anything samsung over anything else, other than oled Give me an nu8000 or Q7 over a tcl r617 or vizio p series anyday ... good edge lit va panel is fine for blacks and contrast If you want perfect blacks get an oled.. I wouldnt touch fald unless it was made by samsung and more impressed woth the q8 than the q9
My Samsung Smart TVs lag on the button press sooo bad. Even turning yp the vloume takes like a second to register. Also slow to open apps. Just bought the 65" LG SK9000, can't wait for delivery Thursday 😎
Ben Bending Rodriguez I’m Sorry
@@Platerpus7...Nothing to be sorry about! I love it 😁 That "blooming" effect they all talk about is really nothing at all.
Edge lit is shit
If you are happy by tv's by samsung you must have really shit taste to be honest. Not even gonna start talking about the input lag in video games
Thats right. If I am to drop thousands of dollars on a tv it is not going to be an Edge Lit one.
...it would help if there was some narration or captioning! What the heck are we looking at? Which is which? This video is not useful at all!
It is useful If you know about the feature between them respectively. The upper two are using full array local dimming(FALD), and the lower two are using edge-lit local dimming. On the left side is showing the actual video they're playing, and on the right side is showing how the backlight module is working. You can tell that the FALD can control the backlight in a very small patch and let it adjust the backlight area to almost completely overlap the bright part in the video for better contrast whereas the edge-lit can only control in a larger rectangular patch and it makes the part on the top and bottom of the moon are brighter than other black part. The performance of the edge-lit depends on the dimming zones and algorithm it got, some can do better than this one in the video tho.
It would help if you used your common sense.
In the first place, we thought that description wouldn΄t be necessary. We have added one. Hope that the differences are clear now.
They're both local dimming. Top one is full array and the bottom one is the inferior edge lit.
Which tv to buy good for gaming pc or ps4 ? 65” to 75”
LG nano
😂😂😂 It is so obvious witch is local dimming.Top is local dimming.
Gran demostracion
Absolutely brilliant video, I love the Demonstration LG provided here. Most people don't know how a TV works at all let alone all the amazing new features added every year. Obvious full array dimming is the top and edge lit local dimming on the bottom.
Absolutely brilliant video????? what the heck are you talking about? No captioning or narration to guide us....this video is NOT brilliant at all!

Terrible video. no indication or annotation as to which is which.
Did you honestly leave a reply on every video. Its clear which is which if you watch the video. One is lighting up a small area while the other is lighting up huge sections.
Common sense. You don't have any.
Pretty funny irony. 🤣 It's your comment that's terrible, not the TV comparison.
Mark and MRSog, Maybe it’s someone that has little to no understanding of either technology? If that were the case then yes the video would be terrible as far he/she was concerned. Edit: Total J offs
Dude is been commenting on every single video with the exact same line. If it's so terrible why are you watching them dumbass.
Terrible video. no indication or annotation as to which is which.
I agree that this video is not the best showcase. First of all, the video looks like its shot with a mobile phone, the camera of which is sure to undo some of the quality of the picture of both tv's. Secondly, depending on your monitor, you might not even really be able to see the difference. Having said that, it does nicely show the effect of local dimming. The monitor to the right for each shows the effect of the dimming of the backlight, which helps to deepen the blacks in the picture. You can clearly see that in the bottom tv, the backlighting stays constant throughout the entire scene. If you freeze the video at 0:11 you can properly see the result: the top right of the screen shows a far deeper shade of black in the top monitor. The backlighting is dimmed quite a bit as you can see in the panel showing just backlighting on the right. They did cheat a bit, as the monitor set in the bottom seems to have far lower contrast ratio (the ratio between black and the brightest white). This can bee seen clearly in the detail of the smoke. That greatly helps to make the scene look better in the top set. The bottom set makes white look like a murky grey in comparison. But at least here its showcased nicely as it is often overlooked by consumers. A HD tv with a higher contrast ratio (and local dimming) will in most living rooms give a better looking picture than a UHD tv (4k), since a higher resolution cannot be observed at as little as 2m away. This is provided the colour gamut (range of displayed colours) is the same, of course. Luckily manufacturers are finally moving away from higher resolutions a bit (cheaper to achieve and looks nice in sales) and focusing more on contrast and colour.

Fantastic Video.
There is not much different in this case.
Huge difference, expecially if you're going to view this in a dark room. Fkn lol...
so which is the local dimming?! lol
(Full Array) Local Dimming supposed to be the best solution on display, the upper one.
Look again. On top, the white is brighter, while also having better black = better contrast.
