@kacpi6192 there should be a vehicle settings icon. Then you can go to the camera settings and select before device. If it still doesn't work, you might need to get the reverse camera wire adapter. The steering wheel volume (main mazda volume), and turn dial volume (andoid volume), are 2 separate volumes You might need to look at other sound settings also. The box goes between the glove box and AC unit. The glove box will need to come out.

At 11:05 you can see where i put the android box. I put it between the glove box and aircon unit. It won't fit in the dash. Because the original unit remains there.

My best time is 6.4 seconds. I'm unable to record a video while driving. I might see if I can jig up some sort of phone mount to record while I drive.

Yes, the android side is full touch screen while driving. The OEM side is still disabled while driving

Hi, The volume button and volume knob are separate volumes. Kinda like a Bluetooth speaker volume and your phone volume. You have 2 volumes now. I usually leave the volume knob set to 18 (andoid volume) Then, I hold the steering wheel volume button up or down to change the volume loudness. (OEM volume) The only thing is you can't see the volume graph while using the steering wheel button because it's changing the OEM volume settings. You would need to switch to the OEM computer side to see the steering wheel volume graph.

The thing is, in the beginning I could switch the android volume with my steering wheel. But I don't know what I did so it doesn't work anymore..

@@s-ca505 Just installed mine and it works this way. Both controls are synced and I see the volume graph for both. Hopefully it doesn't change. Did you update anything?

Yes. Although I think some manual transmissions might need an extra adapter for reverse camera. But the reverse camera works fine for automatic transmissions.

All the original settings and maintenance still works. It's like having 2 desktop computers connected to the same screen. You can switch between OEM operating system and Android operating system. @@ausprimehow did you determine the model you went with was the best option for you. Looking into just purchasing this as opposed to sourcing a new non cracked display and installing an Apple CarPlay hub but I’m skeptical still.

You just have to make sure you select the correct one from the drop down box. I ordered it from Sinosmart because they had free shipping to Australia. Also, if you want to install 360 cameras, you need to message the seller prior to ordering, so they can install the 360 camera chip inside the unit. Some people with manual transmissions have had trouble getting the OEM backup camera to work. But everything worked fine for my 2018 auto hatch.

Yes. You still retain the original mazda headunit. You're just adding an andriod computer and bigger screen. It's like have 2 desktop computers connected to 1 monitor.

It has its own little quirky issues. But I definitely would buy it again. If you want 360 camera available. You need to make sure you message them prior to ordering. Because they need to install the 360 chip before shipping.

The android doesn't have a radio function. If you want to listen to the radio, you need to select radio in the mazda settings instead of AUX

@@ausprime thanks, when I try to use the Mazda EOM and put the radio the factory antena is not working and works previous change

The radio has nothing to do with this upgrade. The antenna should be still connected to the OEM box. You just need to select FM on the mazda settings. You may need to contact the seller of your device if it's making your radio not work.

sometimes I have to press it 2/3 for it to register but then it works the rest of the drive yes i have this issue too. nothing you can do about it but the volume button only controls the Mazda side and not the Android system. The volume knob in the center console works as it should. yes. steering wheel volume is for mazda volume. it still works like it should. but it doesn't display the volume number on the screen. but if you hold the steering wheel volume button. it will still turn the music up or down. volume knob is for android volume. its like two separate volumes. ive noticed that the android knob volume has less bass then the steering wheel volume. In the vehicle settings where you select what backup camera you want to use what are all your numbers. I tried to see them in your video but I couldn't make them out. Mainly the Parameter and SWC setting. i think this is the factory settings, Mode setting, 5 parameter settings, 16 Display, 3 SWC, 255 changing the display number can change the display of the OEM display to be stretched to full screen. i cant remember if these settings were factory settings I also see there's also a button mapping app but that doesn't do anything and the Sinosmart store said that's correct as steering controls are built into the canbus automatically. This is the last big issue I'm having with this unit. i haven't changed any SWC settings. 2. I saw in another comment that you didn't need the external mic because it uses the factory Mazda mic. Did you have to do extra wiring to hook that up or change a setting? I did a test call to my Google Voice number and left a voicemail. It was for sure using the built in mic on the screen itself. It was very bad quality and when at highway speeds you couldn't hear anything I was saying. there's a setting for volume control for each function. i turned the volume setting for Bluetooth to the max. but it inconsistent at times. im still trying to find the best settings options.

This system has its own little quirky issues. But I'd still buy it again. I love it.

​@@ausprimeAwesome thanks for your reply. The volume settings you mentioned is that the setting page that has like 5 or so volume bars on it? So if I raise the Bluetooth one that controls the mic? And yeah it has some quirks for sure lol. The weirdest bug I ran into was the vehicle settings changed themselves. The Mazda OEM screen became stretched and the backup cam setting changed to the 360 option without me touching anything. The Sinosmart store helped me get the Mazda system back how it should but the Mazda logo disappeared. Now it's a generic picture of a car. But I still like it. Being able to use the touchscreen in Android Auto is worth the price alone.

I just placed them inside the dash. I didn't use the external mic. The OEM mic worked for me

6gb RAM, 128gb ROM, UIS7862(S) CPU, 1920x720 screen. I just found out it doesn't have the 360 camera chip. But if you ask for it when you order the head unit, they will install it for you.

What are factory settings at? My battery died so mine got reset to all 0's.

You can use your phone as android auto or Apple carplay. If you just want to use waze on its own, you can use your phone as a mobile hotspot and connect to it from the stereo. It does come with a 4g sim slot of you don't want to use your phones data.

Yes. But android auto has its own typing restrictions when searching for a destination while driving. I just say hey goggle, navigate to "address/location here".

Touch screen on the oem side is still disabled while vehicle is in motion. But the android side can be touch screen while driving.

@@ausprimedo you know if CarPlay works with touchscreen while the car is moving? I know you said you didn’t have an iPhone, but maybe someone else connected their iPhone to it…

It comes with a wiring harness that connects to a plug in the front right kick panel. Then you run the RCA cables back to the stereo. But you still have to use the (supplied) dummy AUX plug that plugs into the AUX port of the car. This allows AUX to be an option to select when in the music settings.

yeah, the plug that at my right kick panel didn't matched with harness that they gave me but, the plug that is at front left kick panel did matched the harness one but didn't worked @@ausprime

Oh ok. They supplied 2 harnesses in my kit. But only one of the 2 would fit.

yep, they provided two for me as well. but didn't work either of them, but it's okay, as I did an easy workaround to that@@ausprime
