Girl. Watched you in 2021 when I was first going to do UPS PVD. I loved it, Didn't return because I had a full time job. But did miss the energy and chaotic part of being in PVD these last few seasons. Plus, I hate driving in the dark. Great to see your vid, I love your look and make up. Merry Christmas! You have a gift and it was fun watching you. Great advice on all of that. We have to really stand up for ourselves.

Hey Marlana! It was my first year as an SSD. I worked for one whole month and was able to work as much as I wanted. My biggest week was close to $1900. We got let go Christmas Eve. Thank you for making the videos they helped me a lot!

Ok, that explains it. I got ready today and no call. I text and said I was available. One of the workers said I would work 6 days a week. I don't think it's true. I got no text today asking if I was available. 😢

@@natashastadnikwright1317 Thank you for watching!! No one that I know has gotten hired full time after working as a PVD. If they have warehouse positions open when the season ends, you could always apply for one of those positions, most of the regular drivers there told me that they started in the warehouse.
People also need to remember it’s social media.. We don’t know what that young lady deals with behind closed doors

Isn’t UPS hourly? If so, why care about the scanner being slow? I would just take my time, follow the route on the device UPS provided.
@@VuTang858 If the scanner is moving slow, that means you are moving slow and your productivity will be low. UPS is all about making money. If you are moving slow, you are costing them money, not making them money, but if you don't care about that, that's your buisness 🤣
I can't do it. They were going to hire me. I said no. Don't want the wear and tear on my car and I don't want them tracking how many packages I deliver within a certain time frame. They're not paying enough for that.

I have said this at church but it rolled right off and was never really heard. Oh helll no! If theyre gonna do that sh then F UPS! They kept doing that sh with me at Amazon and that's the reason i quit! They were wasting my and everyones time. Every day i'd get ready and drive to work then theyd be like "sorry we dont have a route for you today" sending that to like 10 drivers. It wasnt consistent at all. $300 a week was the average. I hated it.
@@JohnSmith-ig1nfI know!! It was not worth it. I was so mad because I had quit another job to work at UPS thinking I would be getting full time pay🤦🏾. I was so disappointed.
@marlanacherry3201 I've now been a PVD for 2 weeks and have only worked 1 day. My account is overdraft and all my bills are past due. I'm so pissed off. They're even worse than I thought.

They should stop hiring PVDs if they are not going to use them. Something told me to stay away, so I didn't go back this year, I will never go back. I really hope you are able to find something else. @@marlanacherry3201 yeah I just drove there and spoke to the supervisor. He said it's by seniority. There are people who have been PVDs for 7 years so work goes to them first. But he said it'll start picking up soon.. Hopefully!

6 hours for that many packages?? Damn.. wtf!! Yeah you definitely must be number 1 at your hub 😆 This my first time doing pvd but I've worked for fedex and amazon as a driver.. which i sucked at. But hopefully I'll do alright. I'm surprised you only had 30 - 35 hours a week. Thats not much. I was expecting 40 - 50 hours. Hopefully 8 hours a day cause i need that money 🤑💰

@marlanacherry3201 hi, thanks for the update, this is amazing that you foster so many children. You have such big hearts. This is heartbreaking 💔 that you went through so much in life. Miscarriages in 5 months is incredibly painful for the parents. May almighty give you strength and courage. Question: did you or doctor find out that might have been the cause of that miscarriage. Also how was your embryo transfer. Could you please let us know. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for your kind words. They were never able to tell me why I had the miscarriage at mos. When they did the autopsy on the baby they said everything looked fine with him,they concluded that something went wrong with MY body and I couldn't carry him successfully. The embryo retrieval was painful and it took me days to recover. The embryo transfer was not bad at all, It was fast and painless.

Oh no, this is common in IVF process, could you please share what is next plan are you doing another transfer. Please don’t lose hope, May Almighty god fulfill your dreams.

What if one get's hurt while on the clock? Do they take care of them or just give them the middle finger?
That's a good question, I am not sure about that. I would think they would have some kind of liability insurance that covers seasonal workers but I dont know 🤷🏾♀️

I had 160 Friday. But I think I may have had even more than that other times. I wasn’t really keeping an accurate count. I only recently discovered the Summary tab on the device.
It's my first year doing PVD. I've been told by PVD's who have been doing this for 3+ years that its been light this year. They blame the fact that covid is over and the current inflation in the economy and also no stimulus checks to less shopping... I have to say your videos helped me A LOT when I first started so thank you for making that content.
Awwhhh, you are so welcome, I'm happy to be a help. What you are saying makes a lot of sense. Inflation is hitting a lot of people hard.
Hey I also enjoyed your videos too. Yeah i thought i was going to get at least 7-8 hours with PVD this is my 1st year year doing it And drivers are saying it’s inconsistent this year. I don’t clock in till 1030am - till about 5pm i’m doing about 75 - 80 packages per day.
@@tanikawilson1966 Hi Tanika! When I did it, as it got close to Christmas I was working every Saturday and I was having at least 125 packages a day . The most packages I had was around 180.
We were super slow today. This is my first year doing it. I love it and will be sad when the job is over. Thanks for your videos they gave me a great overview of what to expect prior to starting back in November. Stay safe and be blessed.

Hello, I just started working✌🙂) Please tell me how we are paid for working time on Saturday? Do they pay more for an hour of work because Saturday is a holiday, or as usual?
Every Saturday is paid at $30.00 an hour. At least that's what is in VA may be more in other larger cities. Ask you supervisor to be sure.
