It never ceases to amaze me how many people are still playing Live / TLPs / P99 . I can't be unreasonable and call Everquest the _best game ever_ but it was/is/will always be incredible and highly indescribable to others who have never played it as to why it is incredible.

When I was a kid people used to KS each other over these all the time. Led to some really good drama. Especially in the early days of EQ when the amount of damage dealt to a mob didn't determine who got the kill credit, but rather, who ever got last hit. (I think people forget that it used to be this way).

Or when rusty scythes drop and you give two to your pet, who will in turn dual wield them somehow, hit for 20 each, at level 1, and newbie area becomes trivial.

I have used that sense heading trick since I started playing EQ back in 1999 or 2000. It's the first thing I do when I create a new character is set up my sense heading double bind to move forward. Works great. Have a lvl 11 chanter on Project Quarm and she already has reliable sense heading at that low level which is very useful.

I had someone try and tell me that the GCD reset wasn't worth doing and I was just like... bro what. 😂

Never played a bard because I lack the physical fortitude to twist 4 songs without having /melody for hours at a time, or swarm many mobs and never make a single mistake or you immediately die, but I sure have seen plenty of them leave the damage songs on and get whacked by something they didn't want to aggro. Bard life!
