Star Trek Armada 1 and 2 are such great games and the stories were brilliant, they actually tied into events we had seen and added to them, I keep an old XP machine going to play great games like these. I've heard ppl have gotten them to work on newer comps and macs with winebottler but I've never been able to get it functioning even following guides. I've three copies of armada 2, cause my dog hid one for about a yr, so I bought another one, no idea how he did it. I eventually found the first then I found a third copy for 2 euro so I bought it and made a "Incase of emergency break glass" type box for it so I'll never go without Star Trek Armada 2 again.

Picard looks like that one pornstar from the early 2000s. LMAOOOOO 🤣 🤣 🤣

...so the events after Far Point were short. The crew of the 1701-D were made aware of the sphere, the time displacement, and gave that data to Star Fleet. When Picard was assimulated in 'Best of Both Worlds', wouldn't that small event be known by the Borg?

We have a new ship for the fleet! That is a prudent course of action. The start of a strong empire begins with a firm foundation. We require regeneration. I've never forgotten these lines after 20 YEARS. This was such an excellent story, not to mention a perfect soundtrack.

Armada 1+2, Elite Force 1+2, Bridge Commander, SFC 3, even Legacy I'd still count in that era ... just the best time for Star Trek PC games ever.

Wonder why the AI upscaling makes the nebulas spin around like that, doesn't happen on my GOG copy.

It's too bad there were never any episodes about other well known alien races fighting the Borg. We saw in Voyager that the Borg have attacked Klingons and Romulans. It would have been interesting to see how they dealt with the Borg.

It's crazy to think that Star Trek Online revitalized the Assimilator and the Premonition! I wanna see the Akira's multi-hitting torpedo that does more damage the more enemies it hits in the game!

The subspace shockwave travelled all the way to the Alpha quadrant 😂

This game unbelievably good. I played it first time in 2002 on an old lap top from the 90s and it worked perfectly! Wish they could do a remaster on both games.

Very nice! I always wondered about this mission, as unless you order your ships directly acroos the border, there's no danger from the romulans. but i found it a nice touch we get a status report/intro from another ship than the "hero" ship

You got a nice voice. I loved both games and bridge commander as kid, though i found the borg ships and voices in armada 1 fitted better. Oddly enough, my PC cuold handle both games but Armada's 1 voice lines always cut off. Plus i always struggled to build up a good base defense, while still having enough ships to advance. And in Armada 2, i kinda questioned the marine ships, when normal beaming was available and the klingon with their boarding party ships from the first game, plus borg beams. The search/scout command were nice idea to avoid micromanaging back then, though the scout coomand wwas always buggy for me. That and...I always struggled in armada 2, with so many different ships, which onces to use the most

The Borg having slower repair rate was a bummer for re-balancing. I would've preferred a longer "dead" time before the regeneration starts. Great video Nartos!

"Lifelines" has to be one of my favourite missions. It was (is) a great way to really start learning about the new gameplay in ST:AII. Great video Nartos - can't wait for the next one!

Loved the late 90s and early 2000 Star Trek games dominion wars armada one and two bridge commander and the voyager first person shooters encounter 1 and 2 great games
