I got mine hooked up to a orange 2*12 cabinet. And an SD-1 waza craft pedal! It’s off the chain and verrrry loud! The tone, heaviness made me cry. Awesome video brotha🍺🍺🎸😎

The last thing those amps need is an overdrive/distortion pedal being added to it. The Ultra gain has way too much Gain on its own. Try an EQ pedal to see if you can take more bass out, was the bass knob turned all the way down on the amp? A great boost for practically free is a Behringer Super Fuzz on "Boost" mode with no gain added. I will never play without one.

I Just scored one of these, just needed a little tlc, at a pawn shop for $175.00!!! Hell of a deal, Korean made etc.

Hey I'm about to get randall 2x12 1x15 cab...how do you like it? I think it would back the lack of bass the slo mini kinda suffer in like a 1x12 cab. What you think?

I picked up one of these locally on sale because sweetwater, guitar center and everywhere they've been out of stock for months. Saying that this little amp sounds good and the louder you crank it the better it sounds imo. I have tried it through a pair of 70/80s running a mt2 metal pedal through the return loop and I love it. Without a pedal I found it has a really balanced warm clean side or a nice chug with vintage 30s, if I had some grennies I would try them also. Good little amp for the price its a solid buy.

I’m modding one of these right now and did the depth mod with a pot and NFC mod. About to tackle the Fortin Meshuggah mod which should tighten it up a lot and more modern sounding. Then I’m getting a gold faceplate made for it and make it look like a mini Fortin Meshuggah amp. Also going to get a badge that says Minishuggah 😂 Eventually going to do the octal mod to put in el34s and a good effects loop. It’s super fun modding and learning about amps. Sorry for the long comment and I’ll be posting it in the FB groups when I’m done with it. Hopefully it’ll sound at least 90% to the real Meshuggah amp 😂

Where’s the Randall RD 20? That’s why I love this channel you are the only person making killer tones from that amp. I bought the same one a year ago and love it I use it with 2x12 v30’s rd cab. But I always came to this channel to see what boost pedals are best for that amp but I haven’t seen you use that amp anymore and just wondering if you still had it? And also what are your top 5-10 OD/Boost pedals that work well with the RD20. I have about 50 different OD pedals but I’m always searching for the next best thing. Thank you very much and keep putting out those amazing riffs.

I love what you did with the Squier. I've been souping up strats, sometimes Fenders, Squiers, old Charvels, or total ground up builds for forty years. My typical guitar is some kind of strat with a Duncan Distortion or some other Duncan in the bridge, mot most often a Distortion. Schecter makes great pickups. They are known for this. A lot of players in the 70s and 80s would buy Schecter pups and pop them into their strats and other axes.

I'm a big fan of the Custom 5 and the rest of the Custom series, the Distortion, Full Shred, Alternative 8, etc., but I dig this Pennywise. Great metal tone.
