i started (kinds got bored and moved on) a pve playthrough using the Ripple weapons and poison and bleed grease, and honestly? they're just fun. something about the pure Arcane scaling makes me really like them and it gave me an excuse to lean into the greases, and i might actually give that run another go, especially with the dlc having added the new sleep frease to open up pvp usage of it without needing to farm for hours

currently running the needle sleep and the 3 shot crossbow putting kids to bed, i just wish the sleep fist weapon did more sleep because they tend to die or be almost dead when they actually sleep with only the fists, eternal sleep pots are so fucking good though

needle weapon is only worth using with spread crossbow. on arcane if you want max damage you need to use bloodflame talons + carch flame.

it have 13 less buildup on 60 and 80 arc. it was not nerfed by 50%. overall sleep got very big nerf in 1.12. but it's still strong vs radahn armor pro pvers :D i would not try that halberd vs good players.

Wait for the sleep shotgun nerf, thats when ppl will lower their guard and when this setup may shine the most.

I’ve found that with enough poise and a well timed fully charged L2 from a thrusting weapon absolutely fucks them up since they’re just spamming and are predictable with their timing

I think there are incomprehensible things like in David Lynch's films, sometimes I use extra things thinking that I will have more damage and it's the opposite.

All of the weapons that it worked for have a base shield chip modifier that's applied to all of their attacks. The lucerne has its shield chip modifiers applied to individual attacks, with the bonus not being applied to attacks that have a thrust rather than a swipe. I'm really not sure if fromsoft intended for the base shield chip to be applied to the physical ashes of war, so it's hard to say if the lucerne or the other weapons are the ones that are bugged.

Risky, but the pay off was so worth it 👏
