You have repeated a lot of misinformation about Yukio Mishima here. He was not thought of as a dandy or anything, and there is zero evidence to support the claim that he frequented gay bars or "lived it up in the gay scene" the way you described. The only documented instance of him visiting such places was as part of his research for writing the book. While you can speculate about his sexuality based on his writings and other factors, you cannot back up these claims with false information. And Reddit is not a source of accurate information (which probably was your source for saying this).

Is this something you would recommend for a 16 yr old who struggles with anxiety and autism? I don’t believe in heavily censoring most content, but I also don’t want to just hand him a book that may mess with his reality. For some autistic kids, like my son, their reality can be fragile from time to time. Usually I try to read them myself first so he can at least come and talk to me about what he’s read. However, this time I cannot. He’s asked for it as a Christmas present. So any guidance or opinions would be so welcome.

This must be a miserable way of going through life. “Judge not lest ye be judged” is a much better way of dealing with those who do not share your personal morality and life experiences.

I listen to a lot of books on Audible as I go about my day. I don’t remember why I chose this, but I started it and for some reason it didn’t take. I returned to it as finished a different book. It “read’ like a true account, or I thought it was as I couldn’t believe that the lifestyle and sexual intimacies told had to be stranger than fiction, honest. I was busy on a project and found it very compelling and believable. The varied narration by characters made it seem like a true account, the plausibility with understated drama kept me hooked. Knowing now that it is work of fiction, I am amazed by the authors craft, and shocked about the sex. As the title implies, all that.

I was super excited to read this book and I was not disappointed. I loved it for what it was. Yes, pacing, plot, and tension was very rushed and could have had more depth, but I’m also considering the time this story was written. A time when showing so much as an ankle was a scandal. That alone made me understand why it was so short and why it was written the way it was. We’re use to vampire stories having more. To me, this had everything because it was brave rough to be the first. For me, 10/10

I can't find the other video in which one Nigerian professor said the author of BLEEDING STUBS is donating to schools in Africa and Asia to study Flora Nwapa's latest novel as a classroom text. How selfless this new African author, Besong, is in remaining a fan of Flora Nwapa. When I heard that, I immediately read "Bleeding Stubs," the best writing I have ever read from an African author. You guys are a blessing to humanity.

I love this video idea :D I'm in South Gippsland, Bass Coast area so some of these places are literally 15 minutes away from me. I drive past that Kilcunda bridge all the time. But there are so many little random beaches and hidden places around here that I haven't even been to the tide pools around Inverloch. So definitely some great book and destination recommendations!
