The first released interview of GLHF! This is just the *interview* portion of the project. The plan is to use these interviews and collected footage to then make a documentary! The GLHF Project is aimed to do three things: - Interview people of importance to the StarCraft esport's scene - progamers, professional commentators, content creators, behind-the-scenes TOs/admins/directors/etc, and jou...

This was a great interview and I'd like to thank DRG and ZG and co for putting it on. I really appreciated how you worked in the more emotional e-gamer career questions
This guy is truly a living legend. Last year, Gamers8 hosted a StarCraft II Legends tournament, inviting professional players from the early days of StarCraft II competitions. The participants included MC, MVP, MMA, and Stephano. At the time, I thought that if they wanted a Zerg player, DRG was more qualified to participate than Stephano. Perhaps it was because DRG is still an active professional player, which didn’t meet their invitation criteria. After all, if DRG had played in this exhibition match, the other legendary players would only be competing for second place.
박수호 파이팅!! 2025 GSL에서 볼 수 있기를
is this starcrafts esport legacy or korean starcrafts esport legacy? There needs to be more interviews with western players and also who is coming up with these questions. If the goal is truly to archive sc2 history shouldnt they be community submitted questions, that the community values as the most important topics to discuss? Instead it just seems like it is more of a personal crclejerk
Shockingly, much of StarCraft history is Korean history. With only two interviews uploaded, you complain that's too much of Korea represented? Ay ay ay. More English-speaking members will be uploaded in the future, but saying a SC history project is *too Korean*??? It's like saying a documentary on football is based too much in Europe! Additionally, the goal is to collect many stories of SC history, so where am I off-track on this goal? If you'd like to contribute, feel free to suggest questions that I may use in future interviews. Or feel free to go and do this entire project on your own! It would be great to have multiple attempts to document SC history, rather than expecting the attempts to go exactly to your vision. Constructive feedback is helpful. Being a douche is the opposite. Try not to be a douche.
수호햄 gsl 직관가서 인사드렸었는데 계속 건승하시길 바랍니다
This is so awesome!
수호햄 복귀해주세여 ㅠㅠ
what a sweet guy, thanks for the interview !
Glad you enjoyed it!
G.O.A.T
Great interview
Thank you for doing these.
Glad you like them!
GL HF. This was great, thx.
Really awesome to watch/listen to. Good pick for the first interview. I hope you're able to get some other OG names that aren't active anymore. I think it's significant to do this. Starcraft is so massively influential without people realising it nowadays. It's understandable that it has gotten less well known, but the talent that came from this scene, and the culture that could grow post the Sc2 boom on twitch can't be overstated. Twitch/esport could run because SC taught it how to walk. I'm excited to see what else comes from the project :). It might not initially be the most popular subject at first on YT, but with time it has a lot of potential. Especially depending on what names you can get hold of :D. Well done, gl!
Thanks a lot Jess, for all this work. So many lives have been shaped by Starcraft, this feels good, right and needed ❤️
Wings of Liberty was the best expansion. Here you go!
Wings of Liberty isn't an expansion is the base game.
Very interesting Interview. I don‘t have a lot of Knowledge of the early SC Scene. It would be very helpful if you could include a short introduction in the beginning so younger fans get a sense of who is being interviewed.
Really well made, brings back good memories
Interesting insight into Total Biscuit. Keep up the good work!
Just noticing the caption quality could use a bit more proofreading, for example 1:47 "PC Bang" is shown as "PC Bunk", 3:33 - Crank says RTS but it's transcribed as "artists", 12:22 "I'm not [here] to whine". In general I really appreciate the captions though!
Congratulations on a great interview, as a newbie and outsider to the StarCraft scene, listening to long-form content like this kindles the embers of passion in me for StarCraft and eSports as a whole.
amazing job, i cant even imagine how much it took to put this together, thank you and thanks to crank ❤
I love how relaxing podcasts can be when they're so interesting and well made, perfect for late evening/night watching
Love the long-form format here! Can't wait to see more!
More to come! LOTS more haha :D
What a fantastic idea, all the best with it!
Many thanks!
Good luck to you, ZombieGrub.
Thanks for this, ZombieGrub! Anything you need from my era, let me know!
Need "Repeat please" interview, thanks.
Impressive. Best Of Luck 👍👍👍
A documentary is exactly what I’ve thought the scene has needed for a long time. Something of an equivalent to the smash documentary for StarCraft could bring in new people and bring about a new era for these games.
Hey, great idea and looking forward to backing it! One question - how will you manage copyright issues with old proleague footage? Artosis had a bunch of recasts of old legendary BW games on his channel that were taken down for copyright.
Thumbs up
Good luck, hope this project takes off.
Liked & Subscribed. Thank you for taking this on!
If this gets bought by Microsoft an then they pay to put it on Netflix - it would be a great way to market the game before they release the remastered sc2 version on game pass (that also will come out on xbox one with a specifically designed keyboard and mouse purchasable separately). Also did anybody else notice ZG seems to be aging...backwards ? XD
I hope you can realize this project! My starcraft journey started with a burnt CD from my friend and some Day9 dailies. Now we are in the whole different world of SC2. Seeing Dota videos of a similar nature, it was never the production value, but the heart or soul of the piece that made them shine. The players or the story lines we can reminisce over! I'm thoroughly excited Zombie, and I hope we can fund this <3
👍
please focus on tastosis and early gsl 😭
Wow! This gonna be awesome!
Amazing idea! Not sure about covering the IdrA vs HuK thing though. :D I think that time and effort would be much better spent celebrating the legends we lost along the way, like TB and iNcontroL, just a little harder.
🤯🤯🤯

Hope this works well. I would ask that even with the AI upscaling please allow the original media to be viewable as well.
I love you are doing this, ZG!! I just pledged $50.
Thank you!
Idra vs HuK, the good old days! Also, really miss InControl.
This is an exciting project and congrats on already hitting your baseline funding goal! Do you plan to talk about some of the potentially grimier aspects of SC/SCII's history? Jason Schreier's recent book "Play Nice", which details the underbelly of Blizz's complicated game dev history, provides detailed synopses of development and logistical issues encountered by the team through interviews with devs and execs, but as far as I've read not the perspective of pros and casters. This could be a potential hole for you to fill, for example what was it like being a caster/pro player in the SCII scene during the rug pull of the HOTS esports scene? What did pros of SCI think of SCII while Blizzard and KeSPA were engaged in hostile negotiations over SCII licensing and broadcasting rights? I did not miss the point you made that this is intended to be a celebration of the game, so whichever direction you take it, I'll definitely be excited for the project!
Yes I do plan on talking about the match fixing scandals and the Blizzard/KeSPA controversy!
@@GLHFSC Awesome!
Awesome project, thank you for embarking on it!
You are doing god's good work.
Good luck 🙌
🤞
We need to have a starcraft con with tournaments again.
Ngl the Brood War upscaling and potential translations def perked my interest
Ty! Arrived safely :D
