Paul Brown started as a drummer, he then became an engineer for R&B legends such as Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin before evolving into a two-time Grammy winning urban jazz producer and finally a popular guitarist, artist and performer in his own right. Over the past years, after he had released his debut album, the Los Angeles born and raised guitarist produced/composed over ten solo hit albums for himself and more than 75 #1 radio airplay hits for himself and other artists. He also did thousands of performances worldwide, including gigs with fellow guitarists Larry Carlton, Chris Standring and Marc Antoine, but also others of the genre’s most influential artists, e.g. Euge Groove, Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum, Boney James, Jeff Golub and Al Jarreau. And yet Paul admits he’s still trying to find himself as an artist. After all those accolades and live performances, he remains joyously restless - and the only place for him to go is deeper into the music that’s driven his life from the start, the blues.
Michael Paulo grew up in a musical family. Though he came upon the sax relatively late at age 15, he was playing professional gigs around Hawaii within a few years. Rather than accept a scholarship to North Texas State, he chose a more adventurous road by joining Hawaiian pop/rock band Kalapana, which was most popular in Japan. Michael moved to L. A. in 1981 and two years later, he caught his big break when Al Jarreau hired him for his touring band. They were touring together for the next decade. In 1988, Michael recorded his first Major solo release ‘One Passion’ which was critically acclaimed as one of the most influential recordings in contemporary jazz. A dynamic live performer he has never failed to capture the hearts of his fans with his emotive playing and endearing style. He spent eight years as an artist in residence at The Java Jazz Festival and produced the Temecula Wine and Music Festival and Pacific Rim Jazz Festival in Hawaii. Over the years, he has added his distinct saxpertise to a virtual who’s who of artists, incl. Miles Davis, James Ingram, Kenny Loggins, Oleta Adams, Patti Austin, Jeff Lorber, David Benoit, Bobby Caldwell and many more.

Semplicemente IMMENSO
Absolutely one of my favorite pianist Gregg Karukas has a very unique sound
Brilliant, there's a few versions out there, but one of Larry Carlton's best.
Love it, absolutely love it❤
Wow! Not only do you look good, but you sound great as always! You’re the best!❤
Elegância
Bobby is on fire. Reminds me of when he was leading those sessions on a Sunday afternoon with multiple musicians sitting in. The late Jerry Bennett, (guitar), Willie Weeks or Toby Zeno (bass), I am a lost as to who were the drummers, maybe Donald ????, Bill Lordan, (maybe????), possibly and more probably, Kenny Horst; I just don't remember. However, those Sundays at that club in 1968-69 in Highland Park, St. Paul, MN across from the Ford Motor Assembly plant just across the 50th Street bridge over the Mississippi River, one of those separating St. Paul from Minneapolis near Minnehaha Falls. Those days were the bomb! Although Bobby now an older noble looking cat, still looks great at about the same weight, and same energy that lit up the stage and brought in massive crowds beating their way across the bridge every Sunday afternoon from the late 60s into the early 70s until he departed for LA. A great way to finish a soulful music filled weekend at one of the few fabulous clubs in the Twin Cities that was allowed to cook musically.
nice

Bobby Lyle at his fines, smooth jazz and up beat rhythm, free style jazz, with a meaning, that some may call fusion jazz made popular in late 80's coming back to the for front from artists like Mr. Bobby Lyle. Wonderful composition from a great performer. Thanks bobby
Thank you for capturing this! Everette's rendition is refreshing... 😊
Preach it bro and play it bro. Truly a God given gift but he also put in the work and practice and refined this gift.
