In this video I get back to the basics and pick up the phone for some cold-calling. It's not the sexiest part of running a business but a necessary part of sales and landing new clients.

What he’s not telling you is there is plenty of free places, you can camp in Yellowstone.
You might want to fact check that my friend.
Ahhhh Cold calls... brings me back to my time at S&P Data and Sitel (Site Hell). Contacting Americans in various markets trying to get them to switch from ATT to Quest Communications. One of the most soul-draining jobs I've had, but learned great telephone etiquette, objection handling and not to take things personally. Best of luck on finding new leads!!
Hey Jordan, congrats on pushing out of your comfort zone. I’m an Ontario guy that moved to NB a few years back too. My day job is dialing for business as well. Once you hit your stride, you can pull in the business anytime you want! Look forward to seeing more!
Thanks for the encouragement! It’s a tough job!
Cold-calling isn't something I've had to do for my business, but it will start in a few weeks, so this video is perfect timing!
It’s not so bad once you get in a flow!
Cold-calling is ________.
Your next online course could be how to stealth camp!
Haha it just may be
My husband and I did this trip from PEI to Vancouver Island then diagonally across the states to Florida and home straight up the east coast two years ago. We had a small RV and parked in all sorts of places overnight besides parks etc. I used an app called iOverlander to find the places to sleep for free. I’m a planner but made zero plans before we left ending up each day wherever we wandered. That’s was my stretch. The thought of no GPS gives me anxiety which is silly cause I’m legit old enough to have travelled with a fold up map and no cellphones 😅 Enjoyed watching you and your family across Canada 🇨🇦 the difference between family travel and couple travel. It led us to lots of different stops but a dream trip to be sure.
wow - what a trip! We hope to do another all together through the states one day.
Do you enjoy long road trips? How far have you gone!!?
Another great video.
Thank you!
Another great video wishing lots of success
Thank you!
Nice business plug. Hope it continues to work for you.
Had to work it in lol
Some of those projects are EPIC! I totally get why US businesses would outsource to Canada, especially with the dollar not that great right now… could be a niche to target!
The exchange right now is awesome for us!
Good talk, when you specialize in something, as long as there is a demand for it, you will make a decent living. Peace
Peace :P
Glad to hear that you are still happy to be in NB. It's not easy to make an income as a 'creative' here, but doesn't stop us from trying!
That’s for sure!
Hope this is super successful for you.
Thank you!
It can be tough out there these days! In the words of the great Arnold Schwarzenegger - BE USEFUL!
The City needs to take ownership of the problem instead of passing the buck and saying it’s the province’s problem. If it’s on city owned property it’s the city’s responsibility.
I’ve lived on the outskirts of Saint John for most of my life and owned a business in the heart of the city sixteen years ago. I no longer go to the city if I don’t need to for fear of my own safety, it’s pretty scary how far the city has fallen with the creep factor.
Good afternoon you’re putting out great videos.I’m in Grimsby i was wondering what’s the food truckscenes like in New Brunswick I have a Caribbean Food Truck . I was thinking of moving out there. Can you please do a video or send some sense of information appreciate it.
There are a few here and there. Definitely room for more - especially if the food is good! There are a few markets that you could set up at. Also - at the east point shopping center in Saint John there are 1-2 food trucks set up there throughout summer. Other than that I’m not sure. Check out the facebook group WE LOVE SAINT JOHN. The people there could help answer more of your questions.
Yellow Stone, if I'm not mistaken is the worlds largest Caldera and could go off at anytime sooner or later.. Stealth camping is always more fun in the warmer weather, an inverter system on an isolater is awesome for the van or tent...
Coolest place I've ever been no question. A trip to explore all the national parks throughout the States would be epic!
Stealth campers get mad views... I want to see your channel be the first to stealth camp with the full family!
haha if only we could all fit inside for that.
Have you stealth camped before? If not, would you? :P
Stealth camping for the win!
So fun
How does my sleep setup look to you? Hell ya or hell no!? lol
Feeling pretty lucky to have grown up camping on Vancouver Island every summer. ☺ So happy you got lucky with that campsite and even some sun!
What a place to experience growing up!
We visited Tofino in December 2021, during storm season. It was incredible. I loved seeing your footage and am so happy you were able to visit.
Epic place!
Beautiful video. I wish I had known when you guys were in Victoria, I would have had you over for a good homecooked vegan meal.
Next time!
Your love for your family shines through..."the heartbeat". Your description is perfect! Pacific Rim National Park looks amazing. The campsite was the best I have seen. The tour has been wonderful to watch. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you for watching!
Beautiful vlog 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Tofino is one of my favourite places in Canada, and yes, it's incredible no matter the weather. Miss it.
The best!
Love the drone shots in this video!
The best part of visiting cities is just walking around with no plan and seeing what happens! I'll skip the shopping though...
Wondering what you guys think. Would you visit!?
BC might be the last province, but I'm looking forward to the "territories road trip" sequel series...
Oh we still have to return home! Solo mission through the States 🚗🛣️🌄
I've been going to Osoyoos lake for 35 years! (But on the American side in Oroville) Thanks for the video! I've also come across quite a few vehicle fires, that's strange
Irie is already a blogger at ATCO, mainly Cameo's for now but give it a couple of years..Peace...
lol
My home as well. Born and raised. It is beautiful BC for a reason. I miss the mountains. I live in the states now but all my family is still there. It's not the same anymore. Overcrowded and way too expensive. My nieces and nephews will never be able to buy a home there. You have to leave BC sadly to have the opportunity to own a decent home somewhere like St. John's. It shouldn't be that way. Not a fan of the current government. I saw you all where in Gastown! The man who had taken care of the old Gastown clock for years just recently past away. There is so much to see and I gather your time was limited. Stanley Park, Granville Island, China Town, Little Italy, just to mention a few. Enjoying your cross country trip! Take care!
My home town! Live in SE Asia now but went back last summer and whoa, sticker shock! Good vlog, love your family, safe & happy travels
Hello! $200/month rent in Thailand!? Real life!? If so - we need to talk! Are you still there? lol
From the east to the west we go! Who's been to Vancouver!? Did you like it?
Has anyone else taken the Crowsnest Pass through BC? A pretty cool alternative route to the TransCanada Highway!
if you like way less people living in your city compared to ontario, looking down every other alley way and seeing people tweak out on heroine and a city that looks quite poor and industrial based around an oil refinery saint john will be perfect for you :)
Love the paddleboard shots!
Next level scenery
How's Waterton looking to you guys? Would you visit?
Beauriful spot, Crappy Tire isn't what it used to be for quality.
I've been there countless times, used to live an hour from there.
@@anitavirginillo lucky! See any bears?!
@@freywayne6574 So bad! I complained via Instagram and they did refund us after the trip!
Nevet a grizzley, but many black bears @@atribecalledowens
We moved to Calgary this year from uk i think we will settle after our lease in nb or nova Scotia
SooOoo what are you choosing? Mosquitos and campfire OR no mosquitos but you can have a campfire? lol
I'd give up the campfire to have no mosquitoes anytime. It is definitely a bit scary being in a campground when there is a fire ban though. It has happened many times. Banff National Pk. looks gorgeous. I've never been out west so these last few videos are a real treat! Thanks for sharing them.
No mosquitos and campfire 100%
So that's what the Centre of Canada looks like lol :). My Dad was saying last night when he was 5, living in Athoville, NB, in 1939, he use to stack wood hauled by a working dog. His grandfather cut the wood. My grandfather was in the war effort. So, everyone pitched in. My Dad, who has all his wits about him, confirmed to 6 of his 10 great grandchildren who were visiting they had electricity back then ( a single lightbulb in the ceiling of each room ), but, a handpump for well water, located right in the kitchen! I mentioned all that as I noticed you folks are living in NB. Cool. All to say I am pretty senior myself these days, living in Ontario, but, intend a cross Canada trip sooner rather than later lol. Subscribed!
So awesome - thanks for watching!
You drove right past my home...I could see the rooftop in the Pennant grain elevator shot!! Sask has many beautiful unexpected places...once off the main highways.
Wow that’s crazy!
I've been watching since you relocated to NB...rarely comment though...butt when I saw my home village I just had too
@@sonyabbuzz would love to hear from you more - don't be shy :P
Melville Beach, SK was a surprise to me. In fact, the whole Qu'appelle Valley near Regina is surprising. :) ...btw, there are drone tours of Melville Beach online that beautifully capture its essence.
This series has me wondering what your next adventure will be...
Tmj gang unite 😂 mine was caused from someone sucker punching me I can imagine you have had a fair few knocks in hockey. But it's not good it made content creating for me so hard and actingt
Ya it’s not fun. Haven’t had it since luckily!
