I really like Pete Best and he played an important role in the Development of Beatles he played drums Hamburg and the Cavern in what John Lennon said that the Beatles were at their best playing live no one could touch us. So he couldn’t have been a bad drummer but I think his drumming was suited to the Beatles rock n roll period and Pete also seemed to have timing issues in the studio which was highlighted in early recordings in Germany and the UK. Choosing Ringo was the right choice as he was the better Beatle but Pete Best important contribution to the the development of the Beatles should not be forgotten and I was so pleased for him that he eventually paid some royalties from the anthology series which he really deserved.
