kchimiigwech Kenny for all the videos! ☀
How do you determine whether to use ik, ak or ok to make it plural?
I’m not Native American but I love and enjoy learning different languages from around the world!!! I’m 12 and although I might not know these languages fluently I enjoy knowing how it feels. So far I learned some Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Sāmoan and Hawaiian!❤❤
I was just like you I’m gonna just tell you knowing bits and pieces from a bunch of languages is pretty useless compared to knowing two languages really well, pls don’t take this as disrespect
dbl like
SW dialect...over in WI and MN for those friend words...I'm guessing your language is more Odaawa than Ojibwe but I'm still learning, guessing.
Peace Bundle, cool...from Wisconsin but now live in Alabama and Panama, Central America.
Patricia Ningawance shows similar name pronunciations in her book "Survival Ojibwe". I've noticed similar things like that among people in Panama, Central America...i.e. Manhattan is Mahtah-hahn, Mahn-hor is manhole, and there are dozens of others.
I like that part of not seeing us...I'll remember that well.
🤍💛❤️🖤
Hi! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge, I am a teacher and I'd like to ask your permission to use this video in my classroom to teach students about the value of learning from elders and holding talking circles. I would like to know how to properly spell your name. The subtitles show: Kenny Pheasant? But often subtitles are incorrect.
13 moons per year would make sense if the lunar period was 28 days; but the lunar period between lunar phases is 29 1/2 days. 13 moon periods per year simply do not match the lunar phases we observe.
what would be the real date today
as a mom, Miigwech :)
Miigwech! My 2g-grandmother's name was something like Tennice. I wonder if it was for Theresa.
Kenny Phesant, Is their a place that has the words for this song?
Boozhoo. So glad to see you're still creating videos. I have your entire series of Odawa on cassette I bought years ago. Almost have them worn out. It helps so much to see your videos and hear you pronounce. Miigwetch.
ᐅᐠ ᐃᐁᐣᐟ ᐟᐦᐊᐣᐠᐢ Can you translate to English please

I digg the video. Some phonetic spelling along with each word would be helpful.
