I was not big into making craft items, but designing and building these decorative birdhouses turned out to be an enjoyable project. Once I did it, I could see lots of ways to modify the basic design and get more creative with the finishing.

PRINTED CHISEL HONING GUIDE

Narrow chisel blades are more difficult to sharpen with commercial guides, due to the smaller blade face and slim shank. I designed a custom two-piece clamp with an incline specifically matched to my shop chisels. The larger flat surface on the base makes sharpening much easier. Fabrication Notes: Add a timer for automatic watering. Run clean water thru the handle assembly to flush out any residual weed killer before taking apart. The motor needs 3 size AA batteries for its current requirements, so a single 9-volt battery with voltage divider will not work. The pump intake tube had an inline valve. After a year, my jar of Odie's would not open even with super grip. So I ran some warm water on it, and presto - the lid turned easily! Comment below if you already knew this.
