For some reason, I don't have the slightest idea why, I remembered this song from a video game. I remembered a little bit of the melody and lyrics. Not much. But enough to make the search engine find this gem. !! Now I am here.. in 2024. Much older than I once was when this game came out. Why did my brain suddenly remember this one?? I wonder.. xD

I love how the bard start absolutely motified at their horrible singing but gets more and more into it as they start harmonizing decently (or maybe h's actually direting them) Never noticed it before, it's such a hilarious little detail.

But I don't have my PC now (and won’t have it for some time) and my old laptop will die for sure if I try to launch any new game on it. I got this game out of a bargain bin as a kid. It was probably the first game I ever beat in a single weekend. IT'S THAT GOOD. Even if you dont like the gameplay, the story and wit and "what could POSSIBLY happen next" is what kept me on the sticks.

I actually catch myself whistling this tune quite often. I originally knew it from the PS2 version of the Bard's Tale. It's only recently that I found out that it's an old drinking song.
