Sori Bud, I`m a bit late on this video, but thank you very much for this tip..`I'm sure to save this video... My question is this this - when you unscrew them, is this the point where they normally breaks.. Or have you or maybe anyone else found that they break off anywhere else. ??

Thanks for the video. I used this information to solve the same problem. But I managed it much easier and without a magnet, because I just didn't have a magnet on Sunday, I had planned to buy it the next day. My simple method was to inject compressed air into the glow plug bore and the glow plug's heating element flew out the nozzle bore.

Looked at your video and thought I’ll give this a try ( Citroen Dispatch 1.6hdi ) I found that only the tip of the glow plug is magnetic enough to be picked up. Before you try this make sure the tips of the glow plugs are magnetic by testing a removed one. Tried and tried to get a connection just about to give up then bingo it worked. Thanks a lot for this tip. Hope I never have to use it again.😄

I just rescued 3 glow plug tips using this method. Sealed make a 5mm dia magnet which helped me. Not easy but it is doable

Helpful video thank you merci . My 2014 C250 is same design. Handle cracked underneath , dealer wants US$270 for part . Looks like a job for JB weld . The leather/vinyl around the handle trim is fragile so old credit card under trim removal tools for protection while prying.

my mechanic told me that this is normal with diesel. with gasoline oil is very clean, but diesel is making oil black even in 5 minutes as you see. try to do this cool test with gasoline car ;)

I have done it on a VW Crafter because it was ceramic and I had no choice - I would say I drill and pull them out - I have done loads of them - again as a last resort I would push them in - but it would be easy to nearl the hollow end and get it stuck if you were in experienced - I would at the very least have a guide …

You're exactly the youtube guy I need. Especially since that weirdo from belgium produces crappy content on his 1 series. You're thorough enough to do a bang up job. Please don't get shy and upload. People would love more content on the 1 series, even maintainance would be just fine.

Where is the bleeder valve at on the motor to let air out of the cooling system

been hitting the tip but doesn't seem to move at all. I have already gotten the injector out, got an endoscope and magnet ready but that's as far as I've got. any suggestions? do you have to hit it really hard? the glows plugs are in the back of the engine so hard to get to!

Dont forget to insert and close ur new oil filter BEFORE ur carter bolt. In that way, u push & eliminate about 25cl of ur old oil. That could explain y ur next oil changes are still polluted.

It turns out that only the wire is magnetic , the black cover cannot be pulled by a magnet if the is no wire inside it.
