Hard days to be a Saph/Steel player.

I can't help but feel like the Diablo Steel deck is the best thing to be playing right now. Even in matchups like Sisu on Ice, you can have those openings where you make them discard 2 or 3 cards and now they have no resources, and not enough ink to even play their big cards. The harder part is closing out the game once you've shredded their hand, so knowing when to start questing is super important. I've been loving Ursula and little Diablo to look at their hand and know when the shields are down so I can shift my focus to gaining lore. Deck is crazy

really neat deck idea! I am a ruby amethyst player and it's cool to see the colors do some different things, and also who doesn't want Maximus to go off haha question about the main list and your comment about Flynn not pairing well with the chromicons since they trigger at the start of your turn; wouldn't the same issue be with the sword released item, too, in terms of how you're playing it? I would love to sleeve this up and try it out though, I think I like the queen of hearts angle as a pseudo rabbit bounce package, do you think the 2 drop is also needed for shift lines or nah? Also I really like Li Shang and Lumiere a lot, and you mentioned restructuring the deck if that was the focus... would that just be more overall focus on challenging for lore instead of draining, or do you see a version of the same idea you have for stealing lore just different build-arounds with them?

Check out BDeCandio’s version, runs 4 Mufasa’s and I’ve topped locals with that deck (weekly attendance for my locals is 16+ players and about half of them or more are competitive)

I’ve been running three Mufasas and have had amazing results. After you play him you can ink back up to seven, play dime, quest with Mufasa and reset your ink. then you can use dime and still have five ink to play with.

It was mentioned that Muses would send something to hand if it wasn't sent to the bottom of the deck through UTS. Both have a power 2 threshold so how are you sending anything back to hand with Muses after UTS?

Hey man! What do you think of playing 4x morph instead of the 3 cost clarabelle? It can help with mother gothel shift and you could even sneak a legendary blue merlin in the deck, to fetch UTS or lucky dime when needed. Cheers!

It's still not that good of a color combination. Speci has been pushing this deck the past week and it did not do amazing especially today, in the London event he took it too. Just does not have a good match up to Ruby Sapphire or Steel Song.

Seen a few Clarabelle bluefassa decks popping up its kinda my style I am going to have to get my hands on some of these cards. Im just getting into the game so building my deck slowly atm as i like ripping packs atm since im new to build my collection up as a whole lol.

side note, i think the rock golem (4 cost 4/5 stats with 2 lore) is going to be the way to go in some aggro line ups. Sure it gives them a card, but those stats are tanky. Maybe Purple Yellow?

I don't get why Lorcana players are so impacient to get something banned.

Lorcana's mechanics and dynamics are a lot of fun. When you complain about the core mechanics based on personal preference... it doesn't really justify a ban. Bucky was a true menace and you can see the meta open up because of it with all the cards you listed being used since the change. After seeing what's been out there for an entire year, it's a balanced game.

On the Queen’s Castle - it’s clearly a strong location, if not the best in the game, but often I find that it just solidifies an already good position. What I mean is that, rarely does the Castle help you win when your chances are already low. For it to really have significant influence, you need at least 2 characters in the castle when it comes back around to you, unless of course you’re just fishing for 1 particular card to turn the tides. What I mean is that if you’re in a position where you can play the castle, pay to move there, AND have both the castle and your characters survive, you were likely already doing pretty well. The exception being when playing against discard decks with low strength characters, because even with multiple characters on board, they don’t have much removal nor are they strong enough to take out the castle in one turn), and a reasonable chunk of the time against Ruby/Sapphire ramp decks where they are quite weak to locations unless they pull an early Kuzco. I’ve become a big fan of the Library. I find it helps you scrap in more even positions, and preserves your card count in many situations. Being cheaper and having 1 more willpower is so massive. There are a lot of frail characters that you get so so much more out of by dumping them into the library, such as Tipo. It forces your opponent to leave your characters or waste time removing them, just for you to replace your hand. And because it has 8 willpower on a 3 drop, it lasts a while and that 1 passive lore isn’t insignificant. Hard to compare the two because they are so different despite being bulky card draw locations, but I’ve been running Libraries over Castles in certain builds with a lot of success. It’s nice to have a location that often yields immediate value rather than having to wait until it’s “safe” to play. If you play a Castle, move over, and it gets removed immediately, you often just lost the game.
