#MadAussieChallenge Week 5 | Key Impressioning
มุมมอง 274 ปีที่แล้ว
Scraping in on the last day to #MadAussieChallenge Week 5. This week we are impressioning a key. I've been provided this lock with no keys and no hints. Just start some blanks and finish the week with a working key. This took quite a bit of refining getting the feel for it; it's not something you immediately know how to do, but I can say that we made it in the end. After 2 days of the lock and ...

    • @JarecFR
      @JarecFR 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a standard core and they've got holes in the bottom casing. It's either for ease of manufacture or its for repinning (obviously other locks that this core is it). The reason it happens on this lock and not on others with these holes is that they just didn't put anything in to restrict movement to 180deg. Not sure why, just less material I suppose and under normal use of the lock, this wouldn't happen. I guess it demonstrates the rule of never pick a lock you rely on.

    Great explanation of the rules👌 This should be an interesting one and test our skills, 5 minutes will be hard though, editing?
