Prelude in Pulse- op. 1 no. 8 - Abrahamson - w/score
This piece mostly speaks for itself. A style of piano composition I enjoy both writing and playing. Chaotic, yet ordered.

Prelude in Purple- op. 1 no. 9 - Abrahamson - w/score
มุมมอง 16616 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Why purple, you ask? Why anything, to be honest. Music and words aren't compatible anyway so the names and descriptions we apply to music always seem arbitrary and self-serving, but alas, we must name it something, right? G flat is very purple to me, and although this piece isn't in G flat, the G flat section is so prominent that it bleeds into the rest of the piece drowning out the D flat toni...
Prelude in Eighths - op. 1 no. 12 - Abrahamson - w/score

The twelfth prelude, in Eighths! not in Twelfths.... Or is it...? Nearly 3 and a half minutes of pure action - well, not completely, although the middle section has it's own version of action. Impromptu No. 2 Op.4 - "Gin" - Abrahamson - w/Score

An Impromptu is a piece that's supposed to give the impression of improv. However, since they're carefully written down they can't truly be an improv. What I did with these piece was record myself improving, then use that as an inspiration for the composition. The title is a reflection of the "mood" I was in. These pieces have identity crises going on, are whimsical, impulsive, sudden, all of w...

Nocturne No. 1 Op.3 - "Homage" - Abrahamson - w/Score

What is a Nocturne? The answer is obvious. The two pieces in this book are Nocturnes. Why? Because I named them Nocturnes. That, it seems, is all it takes to be considered a Nocturne. Not, contrary to the commonly accepted qualification, because they evoke a feeling of night time. The name itself, “Nocturne”, has linguistic roots in the word “night”. So, why then, do all the nocturnes written i...

Piano Sonata No. 1 - Abrahamson - Score
มุมมอง 1459 หลายเดือนก่อน
A new recording of my piano sonata at Opus 4 Studio in an attempt to produce a more pleasurable listening experience. I composed this work over a period of six months from June 2023 to December 2023. This recording was done in late March 2024. This sonata loosely embodies the namesake form and instead strives to act as a single piece broken into three distinct yet connected movements. Different...
Piano Sonata No.1 Op.2 - Abrahamson - Video
มุมมอง 29611 หลายเดือนก่อน
I composed this work over a period of six months from June to December, 2023. I strove to delve deep into an array of themes and motifs and weave together something reminiscent of the sonata form but not intrinsically shackled to it. Recorded in the Good Shepherd Center performance space, the "Chapel", in Seattle, on January 3, 2024. Myself on the piano, hoping one day maybe someone with more f...

Each piece is intended to be as different as possible from the others in terms of style, tone, structure, and overall feel. In this performance the sheet music doesn't always match the playing, different notes cho...

Merry Christmas !! The Nutcracker: Act 2 Tableau 3: No. 11 L'arrivée de Casse-noisette et Claire Act 2 Tableau 3: No. 12 Divertissement Le chocolat. Danse espagnole I wish I had more hands for these. I guess that's why orchestras exist. It's quite fun to play the nutcracker on piano though!
Debussy - Image Book One - Complete

Debussy's Image Book One - complete. I figured only a complete recording would suffice. It makes the recording process that much more torturing. Although, this recording is my first and only take which I was not expecting. Although my bar for what's acceptable is not exactly the highest... These pieces each stand on their own as masterpieces. 00:00 "Reflets dans l'eau" (Reflections in the water...

Premiere Rhapsody Debussy Clarinet and Piano
I enjoy the prelude in eights. I've listened to it twice, the second time changed a lot for good
The music we love develops with each listen, like a fine wine with each year. I'm not sure how good of wine Prelude in Eighths counts as but I would certainly drink it!
Interesting video
Very compelling music! Thanks for sharing
Great textures! I’m glad I stumbled upon this, would be fun to play! Bravo:)
@kofiLjunggren Much appreciated! I'd love to hear another interpretation.
Beautiful work, Thomas. A really stunning piece, loved it.
How Old Are You If I May Ask? Irregardless I Enjoyed This Quite A lot Please Keep Moving Forward 🙏
Hmmm🦾... the same age as Chopin when he finished his op. 63. That is to say, 60 opuses behind the master but still confident I can catch up. I'm glad you enjoyed it quite a lot.
But on a serious note, it really does remind of me of coming across a fair memory in the night quiet of my own home. Walking along the seine at night, people watching the flow of the city during the day, an espresso at hand. It’s a marvelous piece and full of life
@grimscribe6454 please do continue. The beauty of music is its subjectivity. I didn't intend for an espresso but I think I hear it now...
00:00 iconic 4 seconds
Damn this is actually really fucking sick
That's a wonderful hommage, guy! Congratulations! 👍👍👏👏🍻🍻

Perfect
Bro i thought you were going to play Chopin’s first nocturne lol.
😁
Cool. the rythm is really interesting🔥🔥
Nice
21:13 through like 22:00 is my jam. This recording has some real neat qualities.
Very nice
Dang dude! That was impressive! My brain hurts now...
That was main goal, to specifcally hurt YOUR brain. Lol. Thanks man.
1 reminds of Embraceable You and early Debussy
now we know where Abrahamson got inspiration from - Rchmannioff's prelude no 4 op 23
Absolutely gorgeous and I appreciate the liberties that you let us take... I am much the same, my compositions are a gift to any who may wish to play them.
These are lovely! I especially like No. 9, but they're all so varied and inventive.
This is so cool
Excellent set, feels cohesive. I particularly like 'pulse' and 'steps'. Great work Thomas.
Thank you! Those two have actually grown on me quite a bit beyond my initial impression. Especially Steps which I almost threw away.
Great work. I absolutely love the part at 11:19 its just so peaceful and beautiful.
Glad to hear that, that part is also one of my favorites. I wanted it to go on forever but alas!

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤😊❤😊
The music is so beautiful, each piece so different from the others. A truly remarkable accomplishment, bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
bravo! Crackling fire and snoozing doggie is a perfect Christmas scene for this.
Amazing!
Good to see Bella back in the act!😉
