Episode 1: “A long way from Hoth”
ST-825’s destiny brings him to a remote planet in a distant galaxy where he encounters an indifferent snow beast before an off-world visitor arrives.
My son and I made this film to further enjoy his homemade Halloween costume during the first snowfall in Tallahassee, Florida in 80-years. Monty assisted with the evolving narrative during the 7-minutes of production not including 4-minutes of wardrobe. Please enjoy my little stars acting debut.

I thought I'd see how well the Nikon D7000 can handle moire when panning with a tripod. In my opinion, the effects are minimal. You can see a little flicker on the low E-string but that's about it. This footage is right out the camera with no color-correction. It was shot under two tungsten lights with a Lee cosmetic rose gel on the fill light using a Sigma 17-70mm lens and Nikon 35mm F2DAF. It's hard to explain the appeal of Brightlingsea. It's pretty, but not pretty enough that it has been spoilt by mass tourism and second home owners. There's a certain rough bleakness about it which seems to add to its charm.
This makes my heart smile.
I find things like this so relaxing.
