nmw_global fast fashion is causing enviromental impact in the lands of Kenya which is also biggest importer of east Africa, clothes from UK and other European countries are reaching to Kenya for either reuse or recycling but ends up into landfill
Thanks for all your good work and efforts. Denim and jeans used to be made from cotton, which can bring some pollution in the fields with the pesticides used for the crop. It could be composted naturally. Now, their content changed and some synthetic fibers make them more elastic. Synthetic fibers made them less breathable and less biocompatible with our skin environment. Cotton can lack the sturdiness to become a furniture fabric. Synthetic fabric with a dark dye can help to shield us from harmful UV rays. Sashiko stiches might help to repair workwear but it might as well be more convenient to have other workwear garments. Your articles are very well designed and I hope it will help you in your daily lives and to adress the textile waste problem. Those plushies can be good advocate to educate children about clothing.
