I loved this movie and s I flippantly said to a friend, even young sociopaths need better role models. Do I think Peter is a sociopath? Nope. He’s just a boy who loves his mom. It’s brilliant.

Omg the second half superb

Agreed on the matter of emotional connections, it does feel a bit rushed sometimes but I think that they pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the choices and it is grandiose. Star wars is a lot more playfull e the emotional connections work very well in that context, but I think villeneuve did not want to risk anything (and be compared to Marvel or the newest Star Wars movies) and it is very stoic indeed. It is historical already.

Just watched the film, loved the intensity, the friends longing to get help from the police, locals . The sound fx wirh great visuals from the cinematographer. Lot of scenes kept ne weeping. Would suggest everyone to please go watch it

I am a kannadiga and I watched the movie in theatre which did not have any subtitles, but the movie conveyed every emotion 100% truly a great cinema ! :)
