NSAID Report 000 | Cut-Up Writing Disclaimer 79
As part of our re-instituted NSAID word program, this introductory demonstration of the cut-up method of writing/divination/propaganda sieve/perspective-splitter at the heart of NSAID also serves as a general set of disclaimers, explanations, and political anti-Dixie-whistling (for people) that well-apply to our efforts going forward.
From Wikipedia:
The cut-up technique ... is an aleatory narrative technique in which a written text is cut up and rearranged to create a new text. The concept can be traced to the Dadaists of the 1920s, but it was developed and popularized in the 1950s and early 1960s, especially by writer William Burroughs...
[artist Brion] Gysin introduced Burroughs to the technique at the Beat Hotel. The pair later applied the technique to printed media and audio recordings in an effort to decode the material's implicit content, hypothesizing that such a technique could be used to discover the true meaning of a given text. Burroughs also suggested cut-ups may be effective as a form of divination saying, "When you cut into the present the future leaks out."

The Earth Hotel | Channel Invocation
มุมมอง 9วันที่ผ่านมา
Something of a reverse elegy for this show-in-returning, and I suppose for my soul-in-reviving. Calling on some ancestral pathos-memory in the pursuit of the Wyrd Muse-eum within; but more vitally, for a living practice, instead of one that's deeply asleep. Metro Chro. Excerpt from new episode No. 113, available wherever podcasts occur to you. This and much more forthcoming. also at theearthhot...
