Yep, i always played every game in 4k with my 2060 when i got my new monitor. Not ultra of course but medium and high without problems. Yeah some games even ultra like forza Motorsport 7 could go over 100 no issues

I play in 4k so I cannot recommend you the best possible settings. But i try to put all on high all the time. Not ultra because it's overkill. With fog, lights and shadows at medium settings that are the ones which eat most of your pc and you don't even notice it. Put textures on ultra and the antialiasing on FXAA if it's comfortable for your eyes.

Im worried about cv 650, are you satisfied with yours ? Is it good enough for 6700 xt.? Ty

If you are not new to graphics testings you would know that games are tested in the worst conditions possible to see how do really they can perform in that game, so if you obtain 60fps with rain and many cars at night you will than not have any problems in any race. Otherwise if you test it in a simple track with zero difficulty for the video card, you will trick players into thinking the game runs good when maybe with rain it lacks in performance so games don't get tested like that. You also see in pre made benchmarks they always try to put in front of you explosions, animations and everything the game has to offer at his maximums

Hello and thanks for the visit. It depends on what do you want to achieve with gaming. For example I am looking for graphics rather than performance because i don't really play FPS online games, and for the offline FPS games, getting higher FPS than 45-50 it's already good even if you use your mouse for the view. At first when i got my 4K monitor i was playing in 2k, but after a while i noticed that 4k looks so stunning that i did never come back to lower resolutions again. I can maybe lower it from 100% to 90% but i still try to play in full 4k, even on lower FPS because for the view you get it's worth every fps! Now i bought a 4k 144hz monitor for $800, it's a lot yeah, but i wanted to have a better panel that is LCD and not TN, also HDR and high refresh rate. And oh boy if the refresh rate matters! You have to change also the cable though and buy an 8K 60hz one because only that one suports 4K 144hz with Display port 2.0, but it should come together with the monitor. If i was in you i would spend that much amount of money in the new video cards that are about to come out because 4k144hz is too much for an RTX 2060, i have an AMD 6700XT and i get only 144 fps in forza motorsport 7, other games are running at 50-60 in 4k so the most confortable part is when you get 144hz during normal PC desktop use because it's all soooo fluent and enjoying, that with 60fps your mouse will seem like it's slow and laggy, but in game it matters only if you are playing fast moving games. I'm saying that because 4K 144 hz monitors will get cheaper but as for now they are just for enthusiast gamers and it's not worth to buy them if you are not using them because in the future they will look better and cost a lot cheaper. So buy a $200 4k 60hz monitor and then when you get a great video card i suggest you to upgrade the monitor =)

@@tommyvercettygt I’ve actually been looking at new TVs to upgrade my 4K tlc tv. So instead of using a monitor I think I’m gonna use a tv as my monitor. I am looking to buy a lg oled tv so I can do 4k 120fps mode on Xbox series x(I know it’s not actually 4k more 1080p/1440p). I will mainly be playing single player stuff on pc i think, I mainly use my series x for multiplayer, so I want the best hdr/color possible and nothing beats oled for the perfect black that don’t cause black crush like my 4k tlc is notorious for. Also I would love to upgrade the pc he is giving me but it was a pre built and I’m pretty sure he said it was oem and they use proprietary parts they build themselves or something like that. Basically he said it’s to hard to upgrade and I might as well wait and just build my own or buy a pre built in a few years when it becomes too outdated to even play games at 1080p. For now I think I’m just going to enjoy the free pc and focus on getting a nice oled tv to use for the pc/Xbox, a nice keyboard/mouse that’s Bluetooth for games that are too awkward for a controller and I nice gaming chair to use in future if I decide to build my own pc or buy a top of the line/upgradable future prof 4k/60fps pc that will look perfect on my oled that I will buy and it can do up to 4k 120hz which is more than enough. I had a buddy that is really into pc an he always buys top of the line stuff and he let me play games on his pc at 144fps/120/ and 60. I honestly couldn’t tell the difference past 60 very easily at all, 120fps was nice it seemed a tiny bit smoother over 60 but I really couldn’t tell and 144hz felt no better than 120fps at all to me. My opinion is anything above 120fps is wasted money for me and single player anything above 40fps feels just fine. I play 40hz/fps on steam deck all the time and it definitely feels smoother than 30mbps and very close to 60fps. So I think a 4K 120hz oled will be perfect for me and future proof, I can play single player games in 4K low around 30/40fps probably or bump it down to 1440p/1080p if I need too. I may just stick with console too instead of upgrading past this free pc because consoles are getting to the point that it’s getting closer to pc advantages like most games 4k 60 snd can do up to 120hz on multiplayer and next gen should be even better. Thanks for the advice. If I really decide to get into pc in the future I will just put money into that and not need a Xbox because game-pass is also on pc and every Xbox exclusive. He’ll even ps5 games are starting to come to pc. I would probably still get a ps6 next gen so I could play PlayStation exclusives day 1 and I will always need my Nintendo as well. I always want atleast 1 powerful consoles to have with my pc and next gen if I stick with pc it will be ps5/Nintendo because sometimes the convenience is just way better for console and sometimes games have major issues on pc and consoles are guaranteed to be playable and plug and play is nice. I love console and will probably love having pc too

@@sefamf6103 changed maximum fan rotation to 100% because it's set up to 60% by standard, you have to go to amd adrenalin software, an put it on custom heating, after that you adjust it to 100% rotation

wow that's a massive difference. is that on maxed out details, or which settings are you using?

Actually over 100% scaling is already something your monitor doesn't support because if 100% is 2k then 200% would be like 4k, but you still play in 2k because you can't see more, so you get less fps with the same visuals. 100% is good for every game in this world, unless you put the resolution to 1080p then you can put 300% and it upscales it to 2k that you can see, with little bit less image than actual 2k but more fps

@@tommyvercettygt Thank you very much for your answer. Indeed my monitor is 1080p so scaling to 300% would work fine. Going for 400% would be an unnecessary Fps loss right?

@@Tierradeosos1310 I play all games at 100% and it always looked gorgeous, if you have a lot of fps you can upscale it but me having 4k 144hz monitor it's better play at 144 fps than 60 upscaled to 8k

Lower the scaling, 400% is nonsense, it's like you are playing in 8k with 2k graphics

@@tommyvercettygt Yes, it doesn't make sense. But I'm going to the fact that it works "worse" for me than you with a graphic a little better than yours. That's what makes me wonder, I probably have to check my frequencies, since I'm prioritizing temperature.

Right now i changed case and cooling and I'm doing 68-70 at max speed

Also i discovered that base gpu fan speed is at maximum 60% so i created my own setup that arrives to 100% and it goes much better

@@rh4709 GPU? No the CPU is limiting the GPU, because it can't handle the amount of frames etc. That's why at 1440p and 4k it's close to 100% at all times. In a handful of games you get that usage regardless of CPU, but not in RDD2 which is well optimized. I had this card and played this game with it, so I know this GPU well. I've got a RX6800 now

@@averagebro413 from what I could see it wasn't that big of a difference. I think the lighting was the biggest difference.

@@averagebro413 I think it depends on the person and if you are looking at things closely. There is an obvious difference but a lot of people will be more concerned about better frame rates and smooth gameplay instead of looking closely at the graphics.

hey mate. just curious what cable you have from GPU to display? my 3070 in 4K just sucks showing not more than 18-20fps, with 100% render scale... to me it looks like HDMI limitation, cuz I can easily max out all settings and scale to 400% in 2K and get 80-100fps even in newly rebuilt areas like Austrian mointains

Try to run it on DirectX11 settings NOT Vulcan and not Directx12 also make sure it's the x64 exe

It has almost the same performance, but RTX 3070 is a little bit better. Looking at the prices right now the 3070 costs about €200 more than the 6700xt so AMD is absolutely the best one to choose. I'm an Nvidia fan and AMD hater but as you see things can change. No one realizes of what AMD is capable of so no one wants it. Thanks to its misunderstanding it costs less than nvidia, but it's still a very great video card to buy in this shortage period

I have the 6700xt. It is a beast without ray-tracing and great for ray-tracing old games.

I just bought the MSI MECH 2X 6700XT for £200 cheaper than an RTX 3070, for similar performance in everything except raytracing

@@tommyvercettygt I tried aiming for 60fps but in order to get it with my GTX1080 I had to turn down most of the important GFX settings to low which made the sim look crap. I also noticed that jumping from 30 to 50 all the time showed noticeable jerks so locked it to 35 which seems to fix it for me. Might be because I use TrackIR5 to look around which is when I would notice the juddering more. But if you have a GPU that can sustain a constant higher fps then all the better.
